Remarks

All candidates had to give the Common Entrance Test which is conducted by GGSIPU. Admissions cutoff are based on rank in that CET. I took admission in the OBC quota, with 1762nd rank. Later after getting the provisional letter, I had to verify my documents and finalize admission with 40k first year fees.

Course Curriculum Overview

I had Bio in my high school but I was more interested in computer science, mainly programming. So after my 12th, I chose to pursue BCA as I fit into this programme's eligibility criteria. Most faculty members are on a contract basis and not permanent, so teachers may change in a year or two. All teachers held a master degree, some had PhD so they were well qualified. Exams are conducted at end of every semester, first internal exams (conducted in college itself), later externals (conducted in different college/centre). One could expect exams after every 4 months.

Fees and Financial Aid

The best thing about this college is the fees. It is very affordable being a government institution. Scholarships and financial assistance schemes provided by the government are available and appropriate faculty members provide information when any scholarships or financial assistance scheme from the government is available.

Campus Life

There are no fests conducted in the college, none. Only a freshers party and/or farewell party may be conducted. Sports week is conducted with sports like kabaddi, volleyball, running, football, tug of war. Other than these it is very much like a school only, with "function events" like on Independence day. No fests were conducted, also there is no canteen. (A room for the canteen is present, but it's been closed for 4-5 years now) Classrooms are big and spacious with 4 or more fans depending on room size. Classrooms have good windows too, so there is good cross ventilation and sunlight in classrooms. There are no ACs in classrooms.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because i really like things about electronics, i feel attracted towards computer and stuff from childhood, then after opting computer science in 12th , i know what i want to do and chose this course. Talking about the faculty members, there is more than enough faculty members to handle the students, actually its more like a School where if one teacher is absent then some other teacher take the class. As far as the qualification of teachers is considered, i feel like they know how to teach there partiy subject, and that should be more than enough for students, teachers are nice and supportive towards students which i like the most about them. There are 2 semester in each year of course, in each semester there is one mid term exams and one end term exam, internal practical and external practical exams were akso held in each semester, and difficulty of exams is not so high, actually our teachers says that in IPU the more you write, the more you marks you get.

The admission process was very easy. I had given CET entrance exam for BCA, And secured 703rd rank among 5000+ students. The cut-off for this college was very high you need to secure under 800 rank in this test. otherwise you will not get the seat. Apart from the Entrance test the college also look at 10th and 12th score. After got the seat there was an counselling session and after that admission cell check education documents and collect it. Application form comes online on the university website. the fees of forum was 1000 rs. and there is a deadline for the forums. The exam was quiet difficult the english and computer part was most hard part in the exam. Admission process start from CET Delhi entrance exam held for addmission in in affilated colleges from IPU for BCA course and after exam you have given a rank on the basis of marks obtained in exam and on the basis of rank you have alloted a college after choice filling of list of your favorite colleges.
