Rohitendu Mohan Mishra's Review On Madan Mohan Malaviya University Of Technology - [MMMUT], Gorakhpur

I appeared in combined entrance examination conducted by UP Technical Education Lucknow and got a seat in MMMEC gorakpur.

College used to provide internship for ME students.and the amount that was Rs 10000 and now I am not sure how much they offer must in the range of Rs 20000-25000.

Placement was not very good that time, but most of the students used to get good score in GATE exam which helped us to get job in various public sector/Private organisations. there few campus recruitments from college as well but this number was not very great.

Used to have cultural events every year, cycle expedition to Nepal every year. Sport events for every six months, Debate and extempore speeches were organised every months to make students capable of MBA competitions. Technical Quizes were conducted.

As it was Government college Fee was nominal. we used to pay Rs 6000 every year which included tuition fee and hostel fee plus bus services to hostlers. For food we need to pay extra and that was also very nominal like Rs 10 per plate and college mess was very neat and clean.

First 5 top ranker used to get scholarship. I was also scholar ship holder. But amount of scholarship was very less Rs 6000 per year which was not sufficient for poor students.

Campus life was very lively, we used have birthday Parties, but boy/girl ratio was very poor. In our class there were 47 students and out of that only 2 girls were there initially we used to ragging but later it was banned.

Exams were conducted in very strict manner and labs were proper and had all required equipment. Computer lab was not up to mark that time we used to share machines for lab. and computer used that time were not very old . Otherwise electronics labs were updated with new equipments.

This is competitive exam and I appeared in combined entrance examination conducted by UP Technical Education Lucknow and got a seat in MMMEC gorakpur with Electronic and communication engineering and passed out in 1998. Seats and college is alloted on the basis of rank obtained in CEE Merit list.

Teachers from this college were very educated and devoted. Most of the teachers were full time employee and few were teaching on Ad-hoc basis. But teachers from electronics department were really well versed in their subject and used to help as and when there was any query apart from that teachers used to guide for project queries for students.
