Remarks
A good college, good reputation. Not so good at placements, although that would have improved now. Ensure you check placements scenario before opting for the college. Very crucial.
Entrance Preview
SNAP. I opted for this college as I wanted to enter the media industry and my college gave me an opportunity for it.
Internships Opportunities
There were a number of media companies, radio channels, ad agencies and NGO's which came for college internships. Most of them were unpaid and stipend if offered was between 3 and 5 thousand.
Placement Experience
Placements during my batch were not so great. A few good companies like Zee came onboard while there were many other agencies and radio channels.
College Events
We had many extra curricular activities as a result of the various clubs we had formed based on fields of interest for individual students. So from ad making to film making to plays and quiz shows, from fashion shows to dancing and singing, we had them all.
Fee Structure And Facilities
My fee was on the higher side. It was 8 lacs for 2 years. Currently it has gone even higher. Many of the students opted for loans here. The break up was roughly 6.5 lacs fees, 1.5 lacs hostel accomodation. There was a monthly expenditure as well for food and other requirements.
Fees and Financial Aid
No, My college did have bank tie ups. I did not opt for any loan facility. They also had tie ups with canon and apple for students to buy cameras and laptops.
Campus Life
Campus life was amazing. There was a good mix of academics and extra curriculars. There was a gym on campus where one could work out. Classes were well spaced so that meals could be eaten at the right hour. We got enough tome to go out and chill as well as study.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel food was decent. There were many food joints close to campus so we would often eat out because of sheer boredom. The hostel rooms were very good. Small compact and clean. With either 2 or 3 sharing per room. There was good enough space for your
Alumni/Alumna
I am still in touch with many. Although havent been able to attend alumni meets, we are all still in touch via social networking sites and apps. We did not have seniors as ours was the first batch. So we pretty much called the shots. We had a decently good experience with our juniors.
Exam Structure
There were 4 semesters which took place. 2 exams per year as it was a 2 year course. There would be 2 papers per day or at time 1. The exams would get over quickly and there werent many breaks beyween 2 papers. It was not too stressful. Manageable.
Faculty
There were some permanent faculty and most of them were visiting. Each of them were experts in their fields who came and taught us about their indistry rather than just textbook theories. Good mix of staff resulted in a full rounded learning.
