Remarks

I wanted to study Forensics science due to my intrest in forensics and had applied for 3 colleges , LUP , DU , JSS . And I had to submit a vedio of why I choose to Persue forensics in LPU and after 2 interviews I was selected but LPU was very far from home so decided not to opt LPU and I got admission in JSS . Admission in JSS went very smooth , we were asked to tell why we choose the course we wiere interested in and the gave admissions depending on our 10 and 12 performances in PCB more importantly . Minimum marks is almost 70-75 percent in PCB . Councelling was done in orientation programme where all the students are addressed about their sourse and we all were guided what exactly happens through the academic year.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

All the professors are highly qualified , Sciende it's a medical college , all staffs are doctors and PhD holders . Our Forensics unit consists of PhD holders and MD doctors .Teaching is upto the mark but also mainly depends upon your intrrst and the amount of extra hard work the student puts in . There are two internals and one final exam and the passing level is 6.5/10 . It's not very easy nor very hard

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Internships are a main part of our college . And it offers internships to almost 70 percent of the courses offered in the college . Internships are in the final year of the college that is in the 6 th sem or after completing 6 th sem . Internships is done in our own JSS hospital since it's a medical college .JSS hospital is most preferred for internships

Placement Experience

3.5

From 6 th sem campus placements and all start . But since students prefer to study further very minimal students are interested in campus placements sice we all need to get into good position before campus placements . Students usually do MSc / MS and PhD and MD before they start earning real money . But usually there are internships in the last year that every student must do so that one can gain experience in the field . My plans is to persure MS and get get a good proper qualification in my field of study

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee Structure for the first year was ?135000/- As of now we have not got any scholarships . The fee for the next 2 years is reduced by 5k so it's around 130000/-. But still it's too costly for Bsc . Forensic I personally feel . Due to covid the fees has been increased . And there are very limited on campus jobs . But I feel the cost can be reduced .

Campus Life

3

Cultural life in a medical college may not be very encouraging but still there are well maintained grounds in our college and still everyday everyone makes sure they have some fun and sport time . There is a very well maintained Basketball court , Batminton ground and a cricket and football ground and indoor TT . There are events too but pretty rare and all the festival are pretty well done .There are no clubs in the college

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostel fees includes the food fee which is 36k per year and as a student living in hostel . The food is sooo good compared to other hostels and the quantity and the quality is always maintained . We have different menu for every month and food is pretty decent and good . Makes sure students are healthy and good food and snacks and with milk , coffee ,tea , badam milk is provided 2 times a day . Hostels are pretty neat with 24/7 electricity and running water and we always have hot water too . Room comes with cot , study table and chair and a cup board for students and all basic things . MBBS students default choice is hostel and we can rent other PG or flats if we wish too . Hostel is quite costly with 128k which will get down to 100k hopefully very soon from year 2 . But thee histel provides a very good Ambience covered with greenery and a peaceful campus life .

Course Curriculum Overview:

There wasn't really any. It was mostly the friendliness of the profs that pulled me into maths. Do note that in IISc, the first three semesters are common and you pick majors after that. The maths curriculum prepares you for a future in either industry or academia. Moreover, one can take courses in other departments to help their industry pursuits. Only way would be to make some courses more interactive, but this hasn't been a problem for me personally. Most high level courses have two exams. Sometimes not even that. And exams generally aren't difficult for someone who has kept up with the course.

Placement Experience:

from 6th semister onwards students are eligible for pkacements. I dont know about the companies of placements as iam a fresher here. The placements here are really good in this course. After Msc forensic science the annual package in an average here is 2-5 lakhs. Almost 80% of forensic students get placement here. As iam pursuing my bachelors here, iam thinking of writing the entrance exam for NFSU gujarath for my Masters.

Placement Experience:

Our university has a training and placement office for the fourth and fifth year students. Before that you need to find internship opportunities yourself. The significant companies include EY, MoSpi, RBI, NSE etc. The is around 50% placements. The highest package was around 40 lakhs and the lowest 5 lakhs. I plan on working in the RBI after my degree.
