Remarks
I have applied for Sam Higginbotham University of technology and science for B.tech(Ag) because it is one of the best colleges in UP for this course. It provides a good environment for the student to pursue this course under the guidance of mentoring teachers and seniors. There is a common addmission test for which is an entrance test for students to get the courses of their choice. Your age should be above 18 with minimum 60% marks in intermediate for b.tech. The admission process was very easy once you get your score on the entrance exam there will be several rounds of councelling in which you will get a seat according to your performance in the entrance exam.
Course Curriculum Overview
I personally chose this course because of its success rate there are higher chance of getting goid job in this stream of B.tech(AG) . Student yo faculty ratio is alsi good.There is two sections with 60 students each. There are numbers of teacher who are having M.tech degree and ouy of them several are from foreign countries too. Some of the teachers are pursuing PhD also.. There are regular test series weeks after week and then there is an end term examination in July and December.
Internships Opportunities
Interships are for 4th semester,6th,7th,8th semester students in which 7thand,8th semester internship are paid one . Amd a group of 20 students are send by college for internship in big firms and all the fooding and logging is done by the college itself. Overall it is a fun and cad)cam training in 4th semeter is very great foe career point of view.
Placement Experience
See placement is good as it is a different field there are several comoanies like tech Mahindra and maruti ,and several other tractor comoanies which works here as mass recruiter. Butost of the student do not take placement instead they start preparation for gate and other post graduation courses like MBA (AGRIBUSINESS) and others. Highest paid student was from 2018 batch with 12 lakhs pa ..and average placement is 5-6 laks pa. You should have a minimum of 6 cgpa for opting for placement.
Fees and Financial Aid
Total fees from B.tech agriculture per semester is 60000. With 10000 as one time payment. There are several scholarships like NSP and there are fees concession also for needy students. You can also avail UP schorlship if you are from state of UP and for other state alsi there are several scholarship
Campus Life
Yes there are several social groups there is NCC and NSS beside these things there are many more groups such as band group, a club of basketball and football and of volleyball the only things which are bad is sometimes many events take place at one time so you need to choose you interest in a particular field
Hostel Facilities
The registration process is very easy there on site of SHUATS you will get a section for hostel allotment if you take my point of view then go for an international hostel that is best and its mess is great compared to the old hostel and new hostel. Besides these, there are two places as Gangotri and mahewa where you will get a number of pg and single room or flats
