Course Curriculum Overview

2

The curriculum was varied and merges engineering advances to agricultural processes. The learning was interesting and very helpful as agriculture plays such vital role. The curriculum followed ICAR rules. One can pursue specifications in food processing, farm machinery, soil and water engineering and many related fields. Teachers taught fine in theory classes. Notes we're provided as pdfs which mostly had more information however these notes were generally given before exams.Practical classes were not taken seriously. The designed curriculum was never completed in any semester. Examinations included 2 unit tests followed by final semester exam. The difficulty level of the examinations was moderate.

Placement Experience

1

The average package offered ranged between 2 - 3.5lacs for all the companies. The basic offered profile was in sales. Students are not helped or prepared for the placements by college. Neither the exact information about it was timely given. Other departments also had scarce placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee for btech agriculture back in 2015 was 40,000 per semester which remained the same throughout for the batch. The hike in tution fee was made yearly but for the new batch, like the batch of 2016 would have paid more, that increased fee would be their fee till they pass out. A security fee of 10,000 was taken which is not returned to many students till date. There we're no as such other extra charges. Scholarships were given to children of Christian pastors and similars as it is a Christian minority school which is fine. One was also told that would get scholarship based on good cgpa however it was false. Many students with poor grades had scholarships because they had some relative or known person working in the university.

Campus Life

3

Christmas was the time when college was beautifully lit up and national festivals were also celebrated well. There were several community and religious groups which organised celebrations and activities either within them Or open to all. There was also cultural club, photography club and literary club working just fine and organizing events. NCC was encouraged quite well. Departmental events too. We ad International seminar from University of Thailand and few other agriculture seminars. Krishi mela was organised too. Similarly other departments too conducted related activities. College encouraged sport events every year including races, football, basketball, badminton and cricket. There is a central Library and a departmental library. Curriculum related books were available once you have made and paid for your library card. Journals and thesis for reference can be readily available. One was fined if one loses the book or do not return them on due date. More books should be available.

Hostel Facilities

1

I lived in a 4-seater room in my first year then a 2-seater room in my second year and a 3-seater one in the remaining years. The first room was spacious but very hot and had just one old slow fan. Second one was not spacious and was so damped that we had fungus growing on our floor and matresse. The third was again not spacious enough, with poor flooring. There were generally combined washrooms and water coolers were also insufficient. You can't roam around within hostel too after 10:30. Cannot bring day scholars in. You have to be inside the hostel around 6 or before. Suffer if light is gone because they wouldn't turn on generator easily. Laundry uncle would come so you can give as per your wish. Food menu was good only if the food tasted well. Somedays it was nice but mostly average. Cleanliness was compromised. Hostels assignment was easy on day of admission itself. You can also get pg easily around. Overall poor hostel facility.

Admission

Eligibility for the course was 10+2 with PCM/PCMB or Inter-Agriculture (marks minimum 45% in aggregrate). The university conducts entrance examination the details of which are easily available on their website. The sessions starts with mid or end of July so one can check for the application dates in June. Reservation is for the Christian minority in entrance examination. Rest no other reservations of any kind are given. The examination is not so difficult.

Faculty

2.5

The faculty strength in each department was ample. Never an issue of unavailibility of a professor occured. The faculty was trained in accordance with their respective fields of knowledge however there was a lack of keeping up with the modern advancements in the field. Theory classes were fine but the required pratical classes for them was highly inadequate. Fair share of unit assesments and examinations we're conducted each semester. Teachers were available if one needed to be in touch with them and some of them we're quite easy to interact with, the only problem being that many of them would not provide with helpful solutions or guidance. They would hear you out but be a help will be questionable. But again not all faculty was like that, some of the teachers were well informed and would really help you.

I choose B.Tech CSE course as I am interested in Computer and Coding. Don't go behind the trend. Choose the course according to your interest. Every course and specialization is difficult in its own. Personally I suggest if you took addmission and you are in 1st semester, please focus on your studies. Don't kept roaming and bunking classes as 75% attendance is also necessary.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is Totally academic level which is easy to moderate There are only one or two coding subjects which is done in form of workshops The overall syllabus is good but old and is related to aktu syllabus which needs a change and won't help in technical field a lot Curriculum is still moderate and easy to clear but still some students are back and detained due to less attendance Which is the biggest issue in this college that is 85% u can only take 6-7 holidays in a semester which is so less and two three holiday will let u detained in sessionals which will overall decrease the internal marks in your overall cgpa of college

Course Curriculum Overview:

The subjects like ITC, COI influenced me as why they are in the curriculum they don't provide any skills for the engineering students. Students also studies these subjects in one day and give exam and they forget these subjects add no importance in the curriculum. There are subjects like acquiring buisness communication which helps us to improve our conversation skills confidence that is helpful in the future while interviews. The improvement in the subjects which is not useful for engineering and to increase more things which helps us in coding make us skill good. The frequency and timings of exams are quite tough there are consecutive classes along sessional exams student always stressed and the attendance is also higher so the student can't also take leave for his own mentality stability and to relax . The difficulty is quite high .

Giving them free attendance for that thing . The frequency of exams are about 20 days .
