AIEEE examination has to be given to get admission in this college. Although, direct admissions also take place after the counselings of AIEEE are done with.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is same as any other college. The course structure has been same since ages. Their are no novel topics included in the subjects although it is requires. But there are some new subjects introduced to the curriculum for CSE and other trades for boost in placements. These subjects were introduced in collaboration with INFOSYS, which is the only good and reputed company that visits the college for placements.
Internships Opportunities
Yes the college provides internship for the students doing their post-graduations and research work. The stipend as per govt. guidelines is Rs.8,000/-. Many startups,Chandigarh and Delhi based companies visit the campus for internships. The stipend as said by them is Rs.4,000 and also promise free training. The stipend is not always given.
Placement Experience
The only reputed company that visits is INFOSYS. It provides training with stipend of Rs.19,000 in Mysore. The package offered is 3.25 p.a. Only 22 people were placed in my batch,including me.
College Events
Almost every festival is celebrated in the college. Other than that, every department conducts different events throughout the year. Annually, there is one college event in which all the departments participate.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network is good. They are helpful as they try to bring their respective companies for placement drives in the college.
Exam Structure
The exams occur semester wise. Every semester has 5-6 subjects. Most of the subjects had both lab and theoretical parts. The schedule was not hectic as the labs were a relaxation. Not much practical work was there. Sometimes the labs were used to complete the theoretical part. Mid-term exams were conducted every semester. There were 3 such exams conducted every semester.
