Remarks

I applied for Delhi University but couldn't attend it due to the high cut-off. After that, I took admission in the University of Rajasthan though no quota or reservation but my University gave various opportunities for students in need of reservation, and the quota was also allotted. The admission procedure was very simple on the basis of marks of 12th class, no specific age was mentioned but the minimum cut-off was 60% for admission in B.A passed course. No extra counseling was needed for the admission process. It was smooth and reliable.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

One of the main reasons to choose this BA course was my interest in subjects in which I was enrolled that were Geography, Economics and English Literature and University had very good professors of the above-mentioned subjects. Faculty Student Ratio was high in BA pass course 1:50. Faculty was very well qualified, were PHDs in their respective subjects and some of them were even gold medalists. Their teaching methodology was excellent and understandable. The examination process was very good, term exams were conducted timely and with full honesty, Students who studied efficiently had no qualms in passing.

Internships Opportunities

4

Internship opportunities in University were not so much especially in the BA course though it provided an opportunity to work with NGOs like Water foundation, ANATH Kalyan foundation and few orphanages. I worked with the Water foundation which helped me understood the importance of saving water at the micro level. I also worked with ANATH Kalyan foundation which developed a sense of empathy and humility in me.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee Structure was made so affordable that students from every section of the society can study in the University. Various Scholarships are provided by the University and State Government that a meritorious student with a weak economic background will have no problem during his study course. Few names of scholarships: Devnarayan Yojana, Garib Adivasi Yojana, Vidhyarthi Protashan Rashi, etc. Though on-campus no placements were offered especially in my course.

Campus Life

4.5

As I was in the Arts section, therefore, no tech fests were organized for us but annual fests were of the top-notch level, SATRANG was the main annual fest in University, it was conducted in December or January. The book was provided free of cost by the library of the University and journals from at least 4-5 languages were placed in the library journal section. Amenities in the classroom were a little bit low level due to the old campus and building. The sports and extracurricular section was brilliant. Many renowned national and international players come from the University of Rajasthan. Sports facilities are excellent.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostel was very cheap and affordable as it charged only 5000 Rs. annually including mess. Meal quality was good but the bathroom and washrooms need to be maintained with more facilities. The registration process was very simple as it provided seats to most of the students of the University. It was very affordable. Though in the final year of my BA course I moved out of the hostel and lived nearby the university in Gandhi Nagar in PG that cost me 5000 a month.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have interest in arts from my primary class. It is very good subject also have a good opportunity in future as a teacher, social work and media.my passion for human culture and society also force me to select this course.yes this curriculum prepare me for a real world applications because it is related to case studies and intern. Student problem are solved with the help of practical in labs.it also help me to prepare for further academic pursuits it covers foundation and advance topics relate to high level studies. For improvement in course curriculum and teaching methods i should suggest regular update in technology and industry, make the topic clear learning ,give projects and case studies to students.teaching methods can be improved by group discussion, assignment ,use of proper teaching tools . According me semester exam are best for every student.semester exams will not give too much burden on Timming for each semester should be after 6 months.Difficulty level of exam should be wide.To check student thinking power and reasoning also a best topic to improve skills in students.
