* I applied to Techno India Salt lake but didn't join it as I already have been selected in NSHM. * I got a 25% scholarship. * Minimum percentage is 60% for management and the minimum age is not specified. * There was a CET entrance test held in Dumdum. Aptitude, GK and Mathematical knowledge were tested. It was mandatory for attaining a degree. Then there was a group discussion.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is good but outdated. No special attention is being given to industrial exposure. We were never taken to an industrial visit. I had chosen this course to become a successful businesswoman and had a great interest in marketing and entrepreneurship. This was a professional course so I took admission to it.
Internships Opportunities
*Tenhard India Pvt LTD, WhiteHat Jr, Magnik India, Shriram Life Insurance, etc. offered a paid internship. * Interviews, group discussions were conducted and test assignments were given. Then an offer letter was issued.
Placement Experience
* Every course has its eligibility criteria for placements. For example, in BBA, students become eligible for placement after the 6th semester. * Top recruiters are ITC, TCS, Aditya Birla, Wipro, etc. In the placement drive of 2020, the highest CTC made was INR 12.4 LPA. * The highest salary provided till now is 15LPA and the average is 3-4 lacs. * More than 90% of students were placed. * I'll opt for MBA.
Fees and Financial Aid
I haven't got any job currently because I'm a final year student. However, I've got an internship. I've got a 25% scholarship in my first year, namely *Asha Jyoti Scholarship*. In my second year, at the time of the pandemic, hostel fees were not deducted.
Campus Life
* The fest of our department, Login/Astitwa is held between October-November. Media department' fest, YComm, is held in September. * The library is well stocked and air-conditioned and all course's books are available there. * Infrastructure is good, an LCD projector is there in classes. * Anti-ragging cell.
Hostel Facilities
* Proper fan, lockers, separate beds and table is there. * Breakfast, tea, lunch and evening snack is amazing. However, dinner is a bit bad in quality. * We have to fill a form at the time of admission if we want to avail hostel facilities. Everyone can afford it. * I opted for a hostel.
Interview Experience
* In my interview, I was asked about myself, for example, whether I wanted to pursue marketing, finance or HR. I was a bit confused at that time. * CET entrance test was held at Dumdum centre. Here, aptitude, GK and Mathematical knowledge were checked. * I had started preparing 1-2 months earlier from YouTube. I had also purchased a book for BBA aptitude test preparation.
