Remarks
Admission criteria are first you have to clear the required cutoff set up by the institution and after the required cutoff, you are being called for a Personal Interview. The admission Procedure was quite smooth. The faculties who are taking interviews are very well qualified and plus they know a lot of general knowledge so it's a request to be prepared with GK and what's the current situation going on.
Course Curriculum Overview
I have taken admission in PGDM E-business. I chose E-Business because as we all know how IT sector is booming and as situated in Bangalore as an IT hub city so it will be an upper hand for me. There are 120 seats in E-Business and a total of 240 seats on the Bangalore campus. Faculties are very well educated and trained in their part. They properly arrange guest lectures and industry immersion programs which are very essential for students.
Internships Opportunities
Many startups and IT companies come for a summer internship and placement cell also works hard to place all students. There are the majority of companies come for live projects and placements too. The highest package offered is somewhat 18 lakhs.
Placement Experience
Placement is quite good, because of its location. In the 19-21 batch 94% placement has been completed as it's still going on. The average placement is somewhat 8lakhs. Summer internships are also provided by the college and the majority of startups come as because of Bangalore city.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee is 11 Lakh which is good as compared to different B-Schools. The average placement is close to 8 lakhs so ROI is good. If we talk about hostel fees which are very high 1.5lakh per year is very expensive and food is also not included in this. A loan facility is available and Welingkar comes in the premier institute list of banks.
Campus Life
Due to covid, only online clubs are working like placement and admission clubs. There is a facility of E-Library where you will get all the reading stuff. Before COVID there was all sports event organized by the college.
Hostel Facilities
Welingkar doesn't have its own hostel but they have contacts with different living facilities. The hostel fees are quite high 1.5lakhs per year which is quite expensive and it doesn't include food as well which is quite expensive living. The registration process is totally handled by the college.
Interview Experience
Due to COVID and online procedure instead of GD, there is a spot extempore. The panelist will give you a topic and you have to speak for 5 minutes on that topic. After that, they will take a personal interview.
