Remarks
I applied for CET Bhubaneswar, through OJEE counselling. A valid JEE main scorecard is required and Odisha domicile proof in order to apply for any public college. The process was smooth. We need to go to the college for document verification and to apply for a hostel ( this was before covid ) The minimum rank required was 40k and as per the new guidelines it has to be 90%ile above.
Course Curriculum Overview
Per semester we had 2 cycle tests of 15 marks and 1 sem paper for 100 marks. The difficulty level was easy to moderate. We also had surprise tests and quizzes. The sem paper was evaluated out of 200 which consisted of 100 marks theory and 100 marks practical.
Placement Experience
Students get eligible for placements from the 5th semester onwards. More than 100 companies visit the campus from different fields. The highest offer goes to 30LPA. The placement record holds the phenomenal score of 100% placement every year.
Fees and Financial Aid
I received a merit scholarship of 4000 at the end of a year which was awarded to the best 20 of each batch. Students from economically weaker sections also received concessions on their tuition fees too. I was offered a job from Accenture Solutions Limited through on campus recruitment drive.
Campus Life
We had two biannual fests. Perception ( the tech fest ) and xtasy ( the cult fest). We had many clubs starting from tech to e-cell to dance and dramatics. There was an active sports club too which had a pretty good reputation at the state level.
Hostel Facilities
I stayed in on campus hostels. The hostels were pretty neat and clean with proper wardrobes chair and table and a bed. The older hostels were allocated on a triple share basis but the newer ones are double shared ones. The mess is pretty cheap and they serve nonveg every day except Thurs and Mon.
