Course Curriculum Overview

I wanted to keep my options open. And so went ahead with PGDM. There's a great student-faculty ratio. Almost 25:1. A few faculties are Ph.D. and have great domain knowledge. The exams and assessments happen on regular basis and their level is decent. One cannot glide their way through it.

Internships Opportunities

Many prominent industry leaders visit the campus the recruiting students for the Summer Internship and Final Placements. We, as students, take part in various case study competitions as a part of the curriculum.

Placement Experience

All the students opting for placement facilities are eligible for the campus placement drive. GIM claims to have 100% placements. In the long run, I plan to get into the Analytics role after completing my PGDM course.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is relatively higher compared to other colleges in the same Tier. Many prominent Industry names visit the campus to recruit students for Summer internships and final placements every year.

Campus Life

The annual cultural and musical festival is called Inception which is held in the February-March month of the year. Life on campus is very vibrant and it's a great learning experience. There are many clubs in different streams run by the students.

Hostel Facilities

The hostels are very spacious and well maintained. We have shared rooms for the First-year students and individual rooms for the second-year students. The quality and variety of food served is also good and healthy.

Interview Experience

I appeared for a Written Ability Test (WAT), extempore, and an interview as part of the admission process. My interview had a discussion of my previous work experiences and past academics subjects. We also talked about the current market trends.

GIM: The college that never sleeps.

Placement Experience:

In the first year, students are eligible for summer internship placements from the first term onwards. Decent number of companies visit the campus and offer roles across various domains. The placement committee provides good placement support.

Beyond the Campus Gates of GIM

Placement Experience:

The placement record has been 100% for years now. The SIP process begins in the first year and final placement process starts in the early-middle of second year. The highest package went upto 55 Lacs last year, lowest was around 12 Lacs. I plan to take direct placement from the college and start my corporate career.

Great platform to transform yourself

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very good and faculties are also very qualified. I choose BDA because of its value in the market and my interest area. BDA of GIM is even beating it's flagship course in terms of placements. But the thing is you have to come prepared before coming to B-School. In term-1, there will be basic subjects only but companies coming for summer internship will expect more from you. So, my advice would be to invest the time students get in between admission in B-School and joining the B-School in improving their skills sets.

College way to enter in professional world.

Remarks:

Goa university department of management and studies is very good college for the student who was polish there knowledge through help of faculties who are expertise in there own field. It definitely help to grain more knowledge and improvements of skill but only major thing issue is of placement. There has been not proper placement over the years which should be given priority and introduction of new companies for placement should be brought. Also campus should be focused more and should be improve to some extent.

Great Curriculum! Amazing College!

Entrance Preview:

XAT - 99 percentile. This was the best one that got converted for me in the first attempt. Was wait listed in the other. Given its a tier 1 college with good curriculum & great placement, so it was a no brainer hence went ahead

I had given the CAT examination and scored 95.36 percentile. There is no sectional cutoff for this college. 80 is the cutoff for cat. Beyond the Campus Gates of GIM

Steps of admission process were as follows: 1. Minimum 50% aggregate in Bachelor's Degree 2. Clear cutoff of CAT(approx 85%ile)/XAT(approx 80%ile)/GMAT/CMAT respectively (any one is enough) *They also have an Achiever's Round 3. Shortlisting based on overall academic background 4. Written Ability Test (WAT) - Basic opinion on some random topic is asked, fully proctored 5. Online Interview - Checks basic intellect, general awareness, concept clarity 6. Admission Letter ALL THE NECESSARY DETAILS RELATED TO THE ADMISSION PROCESS ARE AVAILABLE ON THE OFFICIAL WEBSITE OF GIM In my opinion, the selection process is rigourous enough, I was asked only relevant questions and tasks to do throughout. The admission process was smooth. The application fees and all other details were available on the official site of the college. The college doesn't provide any reservation benefits.
