Remarks

I opted for a normal degree in maharajas govt college and then I got enrolled in cochin college of engineering and technology. So I decided to do a professional degree and toom mechatronics because of its vast opportunities and only a few colleges are available in mechatronics. So I took the opportunity and decided to join therein Cochin college of engineering and technology. Only eligible students got the opportunity they had minimum cut-off marks it was around 65% in PCM and there was no age limit they provided opportunities to all aged people who have the will to study. The counseling was done by the principal, the sub-inspector of the area they gave a brief idea about the college and the ways the children go into wrong ways because of the particular age and si gave an idea about the area where our college was situated.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose mechatronics because of its opportunities in the developing world. It is a combination of mechanical and electronics and computer science. Its main specialization was in robotics and automation And mechatronics is available in only a few colleges and the faculties are very well educated peoples they have a brief idea about the course and subjects every one who took any subjects had particular knowledge on the subject. The faculty do not have superior thinking that they know all and students should only listen they support the students and help in achieving or overcoming any difficulties. As we all know M.tech graduates with proper experience are taken as teachers and they have specialized any one main subject and they taught as everyone could understand they made learning more efficiently and effectively. The minimum mark was 45 before corona and now it only 32 mostly everyone like the 32 scheme because it is easy that they can pass the subject 45 scheme is a bit difficult.

Internships Opportunities

4

Internships are also done as per the student's interest as they may have different tastes in their own departments so the students not only take the college internship but also go on internships as per their own interests. Some companies giving internship also provides a stipend for the students so that they can meet the daily needs as coming to internships. most of the important thing we go for an internship is for the certificate as it helps in job interviews so take as many internships so that we may get proper experience in our job. And it also helps in identifying our specialization and taste of the job or field. For final semester students, there is a project so that they may get experience in practical knowledge as well different abilities of students can be seen during project everyone has their own ideas. So project helps in building a student practically.

Placement Experience

3

After completing our 7th semester the placement in college starts but the student should not have back papers. If the students have it should be less than 5. Employment opportunities depend on the course we studies. There are different opportunities for the students different IT companies and private companies come for placement. As per my plan after getting a degree I prefer to do MS in mechatronics so it helps in achieving more opportunities. Anyone can achieve their dream as they should have proper planning. Around 40-60% of students get placement and others opt for higher studies, in some companies they give the students extra course for the companies training and the students everything is free and the company pays for the student's expense.

Fees and Financial Aid

As it is a management college the fees are slightly high, not that much higher it may be difficult for some of the people and there is a scheme for every student those who got a full pass in the first year there will be a huge reduction in the fees that was a very good scheme as most of them do their studies very well so they can achieve the scheme. Cost to study depends on every individual as to how they spent their money it is not that much difficult for middle and lower-class families and there are many scholarship schemes provided by the government and university so it helps the students in their studies and most of all the college itself is helping students to reduce the fees by studying properly so it is not that difficult if the student does their work properly and also the campus provides placement for every student so they can get some salary and experience. So that they can move to higher jobs depending on their skills.

Campus Life

4.5

There are many tech fests that is conducted in the campus and the annual fest name was Dhruva it was before covid and tech fest as you know it is based on departments every department conducts their own fests and there is also arts week and sports week All the programs are conducted in an even semester as the workload will be low in an even semester and college has proper amenities. Hygienic toilets proper classrooms proper lights etc. sports are also conducted house wise there will be 4 houses and students are divided among these houses so winners are selected according to the points of the houses. The college takes students for different inter-college sports competitions, the college supports students in achieving sports careers too.
