I had appeared for the MH-CET for the course masters of computer applications in the year 2014 and secured 82 percentile in the entrance examination. SNDT Women's University is in its centennial year currently, its is a renowned university. A complete university exclusively for women is something which made me opt for this university.

The Master of Computer Application course is a 3 year course and it entirely focuses on coding. The MCA course also focuses on a few networking and database subjects too to give an idea about these topics to students apart from the programming language subjects. One can learn various topics and programming languages during this course like JAVA, android, IOS, PHP and many more.

The college has a placement committee for each batch which includes students of that batch as well as the faculty members. A lot of companies like Accenture, J P Morgan, Barclays, Infosys, IBM, Mobicule, Zues, Nucsoft, Fedex and lot more come in to interview the students. The stipend provided to the students ranged from 5 thousand to 25 thousand rupees based on the companies.

Scholarships facilities are also available to the students. The Birla scholarship for the students scoring a 70-80% through out the course is provided. Whereas the government scholarship for the reserved caste students is also provided to the students.

SNDT University is a Women's university. All the cultural festivals, technical festivals, seminars etc are organised and held by women. This gives a great opportunity to work on all platforms and try to know your strengths and weaknesses. An Anti ragging form is filled by the student during the admission. If the student is found harassing any other student it may lead to the rustication of that student.

The alumni network of SNDT Women's university is quite strong. The Alumni students helped alot during the admission process by staying in touch with us right after the entrance examination and guided us alot during the process. The alumni of the university also helped to rope in nice companies for placement of the students.

Exams were a hectic process. Apart from the semester exams two internal written exams, viva and a lab exam are held every semester. Examinations were a tiring process. The lab sessions are quite chilled out as almost everyday there was a lab session held leaving no pending work.

The admission process was quite simple. After the entrance exam results came out the list of institutes we were eligible to apply according to our scores was released online. Once we were happy with the allotted institute we had to print in the receipt and had to take it to the allotted institute to fill in their forms and pay the fees. The institute staff and teachers were very supportive throughout the entire process.

Since the MCA department in the SNDT Women's University, Mumbai is a small unit and is called as the P.G.Department of Computer Science it has a limited number of students in a batch and this helps the faculty to keep a track of the academic record of every student. The faculty is quite dedicated and does their job perfectly.
