Entrance Preview

I took JEE mains, and i didn't plan on engineering at first mostly due to not being one of the mindless crowds but the college is extremely near my home and it offers civil engineering course through. Which i can continue the family business, this college was less strict than St John College.

Course Curriculum Overview

1.5

The course structure is basic and sometimes a bit boring but still there are things. Which we can implement in real life and things we learn about how they work practically, the practicals could be better, civil engineering is bit easier to understand because unlike computer engineering there are no other languages to be learnt and we can see most of the things we learn about all around us.

Internships Opportunities

I honestly don't know about the internships yet because it is still my third sem and we haven't actually learned much about the subject. But i expect as we come to know more we will get internships.

Placement Experience

1.5

There are adequate placement and job opportunities here i think because there is the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation in the same town. So there are a lot of factories in the surrounding areas which recruit here, there are MNCs such as Lupin, Tata Steel, TCS, JSW, L&T, Galaxy, BOMBAY DYEING etc around here in boisar.

College Events

0.5

There are not a lot of events celebrated here and there are colleges which have lots of better fests and parties here. The festivals are not worth it and they don't have mu life to them to be honest, only a few people come to the fests which are already few.

Fees and Financial Aid

I don't know a lot about the sh scholarship but there is one available for Muslim students who get 30000 rupees per year i think if they have the qualifying percentage which is i think 60%.

Alumni/Alumna

There is no alumni network to speak of as it is a relatively new college. There are very few alumni to speak of, the senior students if you know them are very helpful as they give proper tips and tricks to deal with things.

Exam Structure

The exam structure is ok, there are 2 unit tests a semester, they are sometimes hectic as there maybe 2 unit tests in a day and the semester exams happen over a month almost for example my exams started at 28th Nov, they end on 30th December. Exams can get hectic when there are some K. T subjects because there may be exams one after the other.

Faculty

1

The Faculty for F. E were ok but there was a bit of a problem understanding them, especially in subjects like Physics and SPA. There are very few faculties in civil but most of them are nice but some of the teachers are not, there is a lot of emphasis given on assignments which most people just copy and extreme rules sometimes.
