Nice College

I gave a MAT exam in which i scored 78% and i applied to this college because I found it on the internet and wanted to give it a visit. The campus seemed impressive when I did.

The course structure is according to the latest industry standards and offers a wide range of subjects of all fields in details. Students enjoyed learning the course because of its interesting topics easily available with real life applications. It was easy to understand for the students.

Unfortunately, the placement scenario was also not very good. There weren't any good companies visiting the campus. In fact, they took the students to some other campus for interviews. A few MNC's like Genpact and Nuance have been there but they must have picked a handful of candidates, especially engineers. Most students had to rely on off-campus placement because of poor placements.

There have been a lot of events held over the year like college fests, rock shows, concerts with a lot of famous celebrities visited the college over the 2 years, like Priyanka Chopra, Govinda, Honey Singh, etc have rocked the grounds of the campus. Students participated in all sorts of competitions held by the university in the city.

The fee structure has not been too feasible, if not too expensive. The fee for MBA is rs 80000 per semester for non-sponsored and rs 1,04,000 for foreigners. This structure is feasible for an average student also in comparison to other colleges who have a very high fee structure.

Hostel was basically an apartment turned into a hostel far away from the campus which had a bus service. The hostel had separate rooms and occupied 2 students in each room. The mess food was not always good. They offered a good meal in the beginning but the quality of the food declined over the 2 years.

Exam structure was just normal. We had overall 4 semesters. There were 4 exams each year in the 2 year course. Internal exams before a semester made the students learn a lot and prepare themselves. So exams were never hectic because they were not many. The environment was always chilled out.

The faculty, to be honest, was on an average not excellent. The faculty seemed to have been employed in haste without much consideration to their educational background or experience. The teachers, however, were quite helpful and supportive, though they lacked communication skills to an extent.
