Remarks

I was interested in pursuing a Bachelor of arts from Arya pg college, that's why I didn't take admission in any other college as it is near to my home town. I didn't avail Any quota while taking admission. But, the college provides several quotas like sports, minority classes, EWS, etc. Firstly, We have to fill the application form released in May generally. Then, the college releases cut offs. Then, we have to go for admission according to the lists matching our percentage in 12th. The minimum percentage requirement for admission is 55%. The admission process was not so tricky. At last, we had open counselling. Then, we just took admission to the course and paid the course fee. After 10-15 days, the classes get started.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I chose this course to avail the benefit in govt competitive exams and also I have done my 12th in relevant field. That's why I chose this course. The faculty and student are appropriate. We have different teachers for different courses. All the teachers are well - qualified and experienced. Teaching is very good. We have to give exams after every 6 months. The exams are normal, no so difficult, anyone who has paid attention to lectures can easily pass.

Internships Opportunities

3

In my course, I didn't get any internship because of the covid scenario. So, can't tell you about it. But, in courses like science and commerce, there are several online internships that are provided by college professors. Anyone having an interest in doing them can apply.

Placement Experience

3

Placement eligibility varies from course to course. Mostly, students can get placement from 3rd year Due to covid, I don't have much idea about it. But, our college has a special placement cell. Every year good companies come to the college but, getting placement depends on students abilities to get it. I plan to appear for competitive exams and to start my own business.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is appropriate according to the course. I had no scholarship. But, students who belong to EWS or minority classes can get scholarships easily. Students who are excellent in the course can avail the of meritorious scholarship. One can easily afford the college fee or if not can apply for a scholarship giving a proper reason. I didn't get any job or stipend from campus yet. But, looking forward to avail for it.

Campus Life

4.5

There are several fests organized in the college by different course departments. There is a special Talent show organised every year. There are other events like Lodhi, Holi, Diwali, National festivals like independence day, republic Day etc. The library is full of books, journals etc, I don't think anyone would face issues regarding books. The library is having AC and a proper seating area. There are several sports and coaches in the college. Some are football, table tennis, shooting, weight lifting, basketball, badminton, cricket etc. Several extra-curricular activities are organised every year. Social websites are so many like Arya_pg college on Instagram.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is highly relevant and comprehensive, according to me. The core courses that are mandatory for a student to take are highly relevant and necessary in order to develop the relevant skills and knowledge in that specific domain of the field. Electives on the other hand, are a student's choices and may or may not be relevant directly to the course one is studying. The university offers a wide range of electives and the electives are also taught by highly qualified professors across the 12 different schools of JGU. The end semester exams are either of 30 marks or 50 marks, depending on the course. Electives usually have a 30-mark end-of-semester exam for 1.5 hours. The exams are pretty easy and theoretical and contextual, unless the course one has chosen is strictly application-based and demands applications of theoretical frameworks. The core exams in the first and second year are divided across 50 and 30 mark exams and are often for 3 hours. The exams are pretty easy and theoretical except for the practicum courses, which are deeply application-based. The final year has very few core courses which are for 30 marks.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course curriculum was highly relavant to my academic and career interest which offers a strong balance between the theroatical concepts and real life implications. one of the key factors that influenced my decision to choose this course was that there are wide varity of subjects available to choose from which allowed to talor my learning according to my interest. But the time of exams are tough for us, but the two-month break actually gives us time to soothe the tiredness and actually make us want to come back to campus.
