Remarks
I choose this college because i might dare to say it has one of the best placements for B.Sc IT couse, recently they even tied up SBI to provide students job opportunity there. Not only that there are various other top companies lik L&T, Wipro, Infosys, TCS, etc selecting atleast a dozen students every year from this college. The placement cell head was one of our teaching staff and she works really hard for the students. The college also went autonomous (affiliated wid mumbai university) and it really helped with the grades of students. college gives a lot of opportunities for self development to students the only bad thing i might say that it wasn't strict wid attendance with the autonomous tag it even got reduced to 60% attendance from university's mandatory 75% percentage. The admission process is simple you just have to follow the mumbai university guidelines for getting admission (online process) and if for master degree you have to go to the college, enquire and apply. Offline admission to many bachelor's course is also there, you just need to go and talk with the staff. The reason i chose this college is that it isn't very huge and thus teachers take efforts to help students in every possible way (academic or extra curriculum). The college also takes extra care as to keep the environment inside and outside the college healthy.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose B.Sc IT course because i couldn't get admission in IT engineering. Not sure about the faculty to student ratio but there are a lot of teachers and even engineering teachers are sometimes assigned to teach certain subjects if required for the topic. Faculties are high qualified and most of them are middle age people there are some young faculty too and their teaching methods are sometimes better than others. The exams of our college were conducted quite earlier than other colleges and thus we had longer summer vacations. It's difficulty level depends on the students, if u attend lectures regularly then it isn't difficult at all but some kids get involved into extra curriculum too deep so for them it was hard since they hardly studied.
Internships Opportunities
yes there are internship options available through out the course period and the roles offered depends according to the course some internships pay stipend bt some are stipendless. some companies providing internship are unschool, etc
Placement Experience
when the student enters semester 5 he/she becomes eligible for campus placements. as i mentioned above there are a more than a dozen of companies for placements, there are various other top companies like L&T, Wipro, Infosys, TCS, etc selecting atleast a dozen students every year from this college. the top package was 2.9 lakh from infogain and average is 2.5 lakh. the placed students undergo 6 months training by the companies and then can choose if they want to go to the coding department or cloud department. not sure about the percent of students getting selected bt since there are alot of companies students can keep trying for various companies. now that i have got a degree i am going to take admission for MCA
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees is same no matter what caste bt you can get scholarships from government schemes and the college helps with it. no other financial assistance or campus jobs were provided. if some student can't afford the fees then the college also provides installments option.
Campus Life
The annual college fest is one of the biggest reason many people take admission in the college. Its name is ALEGRIA takes place around February. the tech fest for the IT/CS department is BITFEST. There are a lot of books available in the library. there are a lot of sports and extra curriculum activities going on in the college always so it gives a student alot of opportunities to discover their talent. there is no social group run by students
Hostel Facilities
The hostel rooms are shared as per i know. the meal quality might not be superior. bt the menu has variety. the hostel rooms are good and students dont need to rent a room or PG since hostels are right next to college
Admission
no there were no exams the whole admission was based on 12th marks
