Remarks

SASTRA University is a good university in terms of placement, academics, faculty and infrastructure. It is a deemed to be university. The university offers degrees in various specialization. The MBA admission is on the basis of CAT score. The application mode is both online and offline.

Course Curriculum Overview

The MBA course consists of 4 semesters with total 108 credits. We have to choose electives in our 3rd and 4th semester. The course curriculum also offers project work and industry visit. The faculty members are very helpful and supportive. Srinivasa sir was always there to clear my doubts.

I will apply for internship next year. Our college offers summer internships to students at prestigious R&D institutions such as Harvard, Cornell, Georgia Tech, TU Munich, University Motpellier, Deakin University, and industries.

I will sit for placement next year. Our university holds a record of 100% placement. The top companies are Accenture, TVS, Sterlite, ICICI Bank, CITI, ORACLE, MARUTI SUZUKI, IDEA, OBEROI, among others. The highest package was 28.5 LPA and the average package was 9.3 LPA.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The MBA fee is not too expensive. However, students who are financially unstable can easily avail scholarship on various grounds. Students can also get on merit basis. There's separate scholarship for minorities.

Campus Life

The campus life is amazing with full of festivals and events. DAKSH, the international techno-management festival, is an annual event. BIOTIKOS activities happen year-round. NCC is also there. Other clubs such as literacy, auto, oratory, debating, fine arts, quiz, etc. engages students.

Hostel Facilities

This annual fee doesn't includes mess charge. It is the charge for a room with 5 people. The single room charge is more. The hostel is good and the mess food is also good. All the facilities are available in the hostel.

I didnt apply for any other colleges but sastra's admission process was straight forward. Unlike every other popluar engineering college like VIT, sastra offers seat through 2 streams. One is either by writing jee mains and a cumulative of jee and board marks will be taken into account with a weightage of 50-50. Second is through stream 2 where only board marks are needed to get admission which many colleges dont do. If u have above 90% in your boards and above 90% in jee mains im pretty sure u will get a seat either for ECE or CSE.
