Remarks
College Management was adamant even knowing the shortcomings of their institute, Management could have taken stand on improving the infrastructure well in time to facilitate the goals of students of first batch of college. I cannot comment on the current
Entrance Preview
I took MP PET in 2001 and got 60% in the exam. The college I opted was based on two factors first being the college was a government college and secondly I have to pay less due to my financial status. Though I had options of better colleges both government and private but wanted one nearby to native place as well as low on fees.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum was rich containing all the subjects required to be studied in Electronics and Communication Engineering. However since course being offered was BE thus little or no emphasis on research. Labs got well equipped for studies and research though over a period of 2-3 years.
Internships Opportunities
During my course period, college did not provided any internship programs since the college was barely 2 year old at the time of my joining the Institute.
Placement Experience
Placements were poor since a few companies came for placement. The companies were not having any national presence and were not working in the field of Electronics and the jobs offered were not technical or related to course curriculum. Those who even got selected in the placement, did not joined the company.
College Events
There were no technical festivals during the course period. However cultural/management festivals were organized every year since the college is on campus of the university itself. There were also intra-college cricket competitions held during the period.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The college being a government college thus fee structure was reasonable and I joined the college for this very reason. I also got some subsidy for the course since I belonged to a category but in the final year of my education and just before final exam, I was forced by college management to pay huge amount of money as difference of actual fee minus the subsidized fee which was not justifiable and was a financial burden on my family.
Campus Life
Gender Ratio was poor, only handful of girls attended the college as compared to number of boys. Campus life was good, friendly. Cery few extracurricular activities were at college campus. Labs were well equipped owing to the reason that college was in university campus. No robotics completion held during my education period.
Hostel Facilities
There was hostel and mess facility for entire university students both boys and girls but no separate facility for students of engineering college. Later the boys hostel was shut down and converted to girls hostel. Food / mess facility was also only for h
Alumni/Alumna
Seniors were mostly at loss as there was only one batch of seniors ahead of us. Most of the seniors were frustrated due to lack of infrastructure at the time of their joining the Institute.
Exam Structure
Exam structure was at par with other Engineering Colleges with 2 semesters per year. Each semester containing both written exam, practical exam and few projects. There was minor project work in third year and major project work in final/fourth year of cou
Faculty
College faculties were randomly picked and were mostly on contractual basis. Few professors were there who were on campus throughout the course period. Most of the faculties were good but also ambitious and wanted a permanent jobs thus not much bothered t
