Remarks

For getting admission into IP university, one needs to firstly, register themselves on the IPU site. Then, an entrance test is conducted. One should get a minimum of 6000 of rank to get into a decent college. There are 3 rounds in which one can get admission and one spot counseling. Spot counseling is for those students who didn't get any college in the first 3 rounds or for those who expect a better college to take admission. I got a rank of 5950. I applied for many colleges and got Rukmini Devi Institute of advanced studies in the first 2 rounds. But, wanted to the Delhi Institute of Advanced Studies (DIAS) because I've heard about it from many of my friends and families, and also they provide good placement opportunities to their students. The minimum rank accepted here is 2000 and the maximum is up to 12000. So, I got DIAS in the 3rd round and then, I took admission in it.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I took admission in an undergraduate program that is Bachelors of Business Administration. I chose this course because I wanted to do something professional and had a keen interest in management. Also, as I want to pursue MBA, getting knowledge through BBA is better. Now talking about the faculty, teachers here are very well experienced and have great knowledge about their respective fields. The faculty: student ratio is 3:60. The teachers here are very well qualified. Some are postgraduates and some have done PhDs too. They have experience of more than 6-7 years of teaching. Faculties teach through presentations made by them and also give handwritten notes to students for better explanation and understanding. Teachers take tests every month so that students grasp the subject thoroughly. And, Internal Exams are taken after 1.5 months of the semester's start. The exam level here is easy to moderate depending upon the studies done by the students.

Internships Opportunities

4

There are many internship opportunities available on the campus. Many NGOs and companies contact the campus for taking interns. The roles that are offered are Marketing, HR, Social Media Marketing, Finance. Many of the internships are unpaid. The tasks and projects that have to be completed depend on the internship.

Placement Experience

3

The placement cell of the campus is very good. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester. The companies such as Delloite visit here. Almost every student who's interested in getting campus placements to get offers. The average package is Rs600000 and the highest being Rs900000. 40-50% of interested students get placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure of the Delhi institute of advanced studies is almost the same as that of other colleges in IP university. The cost for BBA is around Rs85000 in the first year, Rs83000 in the second year, and around Rs79500 in the third year. Talking about the placement cell, Many big companies contact DIAS for the placements. The average package is Rs600000 per annum and the highest being Rs900000.

Campus Life

4

Life at the Delhi Institute of advanced studies is very lively and exciting. There's an annual fest that is being held at DIAS named "Ecstacy". There are my shows and contests one can participate in. The month in which this fest is conducted in March. The campus has a very good library. It's fully air-conditioned. And almost every book (course books) is available. One can also sit there and read and can also issue the books. The classrooms are huge and very well air-conditioned. Each classroom has a size of 60 students. Every classroom has 1 blackboard and 1 presentation board. There are many activities being conducted here, Such as football, cricket, badminton tournaments, etc. There are intra as well as inter-college competitions as well.

There are quite few placement opportunities provided by the college but most of them are for sales or operations positions. At the sixth semester students are eligible for the Campus placements. BBA students gets an average package of 3.5 - 4 lakhs. My plan after completing BBA is to start my MBA journey. Currently preparing for my CAT Exam.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements in IITM were decent. Neither good nor bad. Students become eligible from the 6th semester to become eligible for campus placements. The only condition is students should not be having any active Backlog in any subject. Few of the companies that visited IITM for placements were Deloitte, KPMG , TCS, Wipro providing an average package lying somewhere around 2-5 lpa . The highest package offered was 7 lpa to my batchmate by a startup company. Only 25% of students got placed in the campus placements as most of them were looking for OFF campus placements including me
