Entrance Preview
I took CAT and secured about 93.8 Percentile. FORE was ranked under A category and it was part of my shortlisted college among others. The Admission process had CAT shortlisting and then followed by a GDPI and Personal Interview. The Interview was majorly related to Current affairs, Academics etc. One Advise is be true, does not make sense to fake anything. They have GDPI venues in major cities.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course Curriculum was one of the best. It offered various modules of about 10-12 courses in each stream. The course content is very flexible offering student an opportunity to opt for dual specialisation. I opted for Finance and Marketing - electing different modules from Finance as well as Marketing, depending upon my interest level.
Internships Opportunities
For the internship, there were a couple of firms visiting the college. But frankly not everyone get placed from the college Internship programme. Many had to make arrangement for themselves. Stipend could range from Zero to about 20,000. Given the faculty were from industry, there was some support from them as well.
Placement Experience
Placements were 100%. But not all get the heavy pocket salaries and not all get placed in their area of interest. The companies visiting the college range from Finance, KPO, Banking, Sales, Marketing and some in IT. Companies like ICICI, Infosys, HP are best payers with about 10LPA in 2011. While Many in medium category like Crisil, SBI, BOI, BOB offer 5-7 LPA.
College Events
The college has very good student engagement programmes starting with a warm welcome- Freshers party, too many social events, annual fest, inter college events, farewell party, industry visits. The student body has mutilple societies focusing on various aspects like Social cause, Library, Food, Corporate relationship, Economics, Finance etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure back then in 2009 was 6lacs for two years but now i think it tripled to about 18Lacs. This is surely expensive affair, but I think almost all colleges have this preposition. The student end up with ROI of about 50% or Pay back of about 2 years or more with average packages of 7-8 lacs.
Fees and Financial Aid
They had tieup with some banks form Education Loan. besides they also had scholarship programme for needy students which is merit based.
Alumni/Alumna
They had a good networking with Alumni with regular meetings with them. They have an annual meeting with Alumni wherein Alumni comes to the college and meet the students. There is a student body responsible for regular interaction with Alumni.
Admission
The admission process started much before CAT exam. One have to fill the application form by paying the admission fee. Post the CAT results, basis the percentile score, one gets a call letter for GDPI. The Step two is GD with size of about 8 students followed by a panel interview where panel includes mix of faculty as well some one from industry.
Faculty
It had mix of faculty from Academics as well as from Industry. The faculty had on an average experience of about 20 years. And many were from industry working with very reputed firms. It also offered 2 hour sessions with visiting members from the industry.
