Amity -Best business college

I chose this college because of its reputation. Those who hold graduation or post graduation degrees from Amity are at a benefit of securing high paid jobs in good companies. The campus was also one factor behind choosing this college. Placements are great. Entrance exams which are accepted for MBA Admissions are Amity Test, CAT, GMAT, NMAT, XAT, MAT. Score obtained in any one of the exams is acceptable. Minimum 55% in graduation and entrance exam score is required while applying. Online application for is to be filled and softcopies of 10th and 12th certificates have to be uploaded along with the form. Application fee of 1,100 INR has to be paid online by credit/ debit card. I followed the same process.

MBA is a two year program. It is divided into four semesters. Main focus is imparting knowledge that will help in understanding how various businesses operate, how the process is carried out and what all requirements or strategies are needed to grow a business. In MBA Human Resource the fields that are covered are Marketing management, business communication, managerial economics, Critical thinking, human resource management, legal aspects of business, operations management and languages like French, German Japanese, Spanish are taught in the first three semesters. In second year subjects that are taught are HR Audit & HR Information Systems, E commerce, online business model, consumer behavior, International cross cultural management, Industrial relations and labor law, foreign trade policy, supply chain management, social media marketing ,media marketing, social and industrial psychology and customer relationship management. Summer internship is a part of the third semester. Faculties were well versed in their area of specialization that helped me in clearing my doubts regarding various businesses.

Placement cell is very supportive. Before campus drives Pre-placement talks are held to help students relieve stress. Guest lectures and seminars are conducted for guidance. Top companies that hire are BOSCH, Hyundai, HSBC, IBM, Federal Bank, CHOLA, Asian Paints and Capgemini. Highest package offered was 30LPA. Average salary package was 5LPA. I got placed in HSBC with a package offer of 7LPA.

Fee is semester wise. 1.67 lac INR per semester .i.e. 6.68 lac INR for two years. Scholarships are given on the basis of entrance exam scores. I got 50% scholarship as I scored 86 percentile in CAT. Fee hike policy states that 5 % increase in fee every year will be applicable.

Amity sports fest, Amity Techno-cultural fests are the annual events held every year. Participation is great. Odyssey is the name of the Amity techno-cultural fest. Library is well maintained. Syllabus books, thesis, journals are available. E-library is also there for latest updates of industry.

I don't know much about hostel facilities on campus as I stayed in a PG near Jhotwara, Jaipur. Monthly rent of the AC room I availed was 3000 INR for a twin sharing room. Common area consisted of a living room, kitchen and a balcony. It had an attached bathroom with a geyser. Other amenities given were a cupboard, bed with mattress and a side table with chair. Fridge, microwave and Wi-Fi was also provided. Meals, room cleaning service and laundry were included. One time deposit amount was 2500 INR.

After submitting the application form I received an email mentioning the date of PI at the college campus. A Personal Interview was held , questions regarding self and why I chose this particular course were asked. After Interview confirmation was given about the admission and fee payment was done .
