Remarks

Admission is done through a separate entrance test by the college. It was a home-based proctored MCQ exam. After the declaration of the result, counselling was conducted online itself in a very smooth way. The cutoff marks vary every year.

Course Curriculum Overview

ECE has a broad scope in the present and even in the years to come. I see it as an evergreen course and that is the reason I opted for it. The faculty is also good. Since there are 60 students in the class, the teacher interacts with everyone. They teach us through smart boards, ppt, and the traditional method as well. There are 2 semesters in a year and each sem has 2 unit tests that are of moderate level. Most of the questions are taught in the class itself.

Internships Opportunities

Companies like TCS, Wipro offer internships to the students. They are given the role as per their resume and skills. They are also given a stipend of up to 20-30k per month during the period of internship. They are given all the exposure needed when one actually steps into the industry. It makes the student industry-ready.

Placement Experience

Placements start taking place from the 3rd year itself. 150+ companies visit the campus every year like TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, HP to name a few. The highest package of batch 2020 was 34 lpa. The average package is around 6-8 lpa. More than 90% of students got placed and a few went for higher studies while others set out for their entrepreneurship plans.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are very less compared to other colleges out there. And there is almost every facility that one could ask for on the campus. So I find it pretty convenient for everyone. Scholarships are also provided to students with poor financial backgrounds. We are made aware of various scholarships like ONGC Scholarship or there are scholarships for girls as well.

Campus Life

Bharatiyam is conducted every year in December. It is the annual fest of BVP. Besides, there are various seminars and every Saturday at least one seminar is conducted with people from the industry. Clubs like IEEE, EDC, T&P, Leo club, literary club, etc are present and recruitments are made every year.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Placement cell is quite good. Students are eligible for placement in their last semester of course. There are many great companies that come like JP MORGAN, EY, KPMG. Average package of the college is 5-6 lacs but there are high packages according to the skills of the student. I'd like to go for master's after BMS. Different kind of roles are there for students to apply according to their interests in all the fields like finance, marketing, HR, consulting. There is training provided by the college for placemens and there is personal training for individual company interviews if required by students.
