Remarks

First of all, I visited the campus and I qualified for the entrance exam conducted by Centurion University (CUEE). I got selected and on the counselling day, I was made aware of the course curriculum of the B.Tech Dairy Technology course and about the great scope and opportunities of it in India and abroad.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Exams are held semester wise. 2 semesters each year and internal exams are conducted before the semesters for a better understanding of the concepts by students. Teachers are very much cooperative and they give their best to make the students understand the concepts clearly. The difficulty level of the exams is moderate.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

I did a summer internship on "Milk Procurement" from Milky Moo Pvt Ltd, Sambalpur in 1st year and a 1-month summer internship on "Emerging Trends in Food Packaging Technologies and Food Industrial Practices" from Indian Institute of Packaging, Kolkata via online mode. I had to submit project reports to the organizing authority in order to avail of the internship certificates.

Placement Experience

4

The placements of this college are good. The average package is 6 lacs per annum. Studnets from the 7th semester are available for campus placements. Many IT companies and food companies visit the campus. Food companies like OurFood Pvt Ltd, Heritage, Vishaka Dairy, Milky Moo come for placements. 70 of students get placed. The rest of them opt for higher studies. Many students get qualified in the Icar AIEEA Pg examination for pursuing a post-graduate degree. I am planning to pursue an M.Tech Dairy Technology course after completing my B.Tech degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

I received Vice-Chancellor Scholarship in the college of Rs 30000 per year as I secured more than 80% of marks in Class 10 and Class 10+2. This money was deducted from the academic fees. As we are the first batch of B.Tech Dairy Technology graduating from this course, many dairy companies like Heritage, Vishaka Dairy, Omfed, Milky Moo, Prabhat Dairy come for placements.

Campus Life

4.5

Life at the campus is awesome. The annual fest held in the college is Gajajyoti. There is a tech-fest like Flash Mob for engineering branches. Krishi Mela is also held on the campus with lots of exciting projects. E-books and Journals are available in the Centurion portal known as Courseware. Lots of books are available in the campus library. The labs are well established with equipments available. The most well-developed labs are for Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science engineering labs. The classrooms are spacious with a digital board available. The most wonderful part of my college life is the campus lush green football field. There is a cricket field, Volleyball field, Basketball ground, Lawn Tennis court and music and dance clubs and a multi-gym. Food canteens are also available on the campus. Food stalls are also available. Students can visit the official website of the university: www.cutm.ac.in. From there you can avail information about the course curriculum.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostel facility is great with a central Wifi connection. Non-Ac hostel costs Rs 65000 per year and there is a separate AC hostel for boys on the campus which costs Rs 90000 per year + Electricity charges. I stayed in the Ac hostel. There is North mess and South Mess available for students. The food quality served to us is very nice. Students need to register for hostels in the chief warden office which is in Hostel-1 of the campus. The price of a hostel is cheaper and affordable. There are also PGs available outside the college gate.

Interview Experience

4

The interviewer asked about my career objectives and about my educational background. I have good communication skills and with that, I faced the interview boldly. I gave all the answers confidently. They asked about my hobbies and liking for this course.

Other Applied Colleges

KIIT,Bhubaneswar | B.Tech Electrical Engineering

The cost of pursuing B.Tech degree was much higher and the ambience of the college was not suitable

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I love computers and I have deep intrest in computer science sk I choose this course. I learned much necessary things in the college. College should help and provide skills according to the students. There were hackathons done by the college which is a good step towards the development of students. The main focus should be in the practical knowledge than the thoery as in real world students have to deal with projects where labs practices play a major role.

Placement Experience:

the placements are preety good in this college . however currenty the job market is down so it has impacted the college placements. from 6th semester onwards students become eligible for placements however the companies visit from 7th sem onwards . many renowned companies visit along with multiple startups offering from a range 4 lpa to 24 lpa all based on the potential of the students. the college offers a 100% placement but looking at current senario it seems difficult. mostly companies hire for sowftware engineers and product manager roles but , also provide marketing and sales job roles. 25 lakhs per annum is the highest package in the recent time average package is abput 5-10 lakhs per annum. though college promises 100% placements, the actual percentage is quite low about 50-60% students are getting placed which is also a result of the current job market scenario my plans after this degree is joining a company and finding my passion . i can also tink about my own startup based on my passion to make a change in the society .
