Remarks

Classrooms, library, medical facilities, sports and games etc. are fine, not bad I'd say. The quality of labs and classrooms too are okay. The quality of food available in the canteen is disgusting, apart from the chicken sandwich. Hostel rooms are nice, but your life in the hostel is going to be miserable with all the meaningless restrictions. I didn't face many infrastructure related issues during my tenure at the college, apart from the fact that Wi-Fi at times is poor.

Entrance Preview

My first experience with management education was an enlightening experience. After welcoming us with a two-week long induction full of interactions, group learning, and team performance.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

t is one of the best colleges in the country. The college has an excellent faculty and amazing infrastructure. Also, the case study method of teaching helps in practical learning. The student crowd and campus life sets it apart from rest of the colleges. The guest lectures from industry experts help to build a strong network that can be a constant source of new opportunities.

Internships Opportunities

provides with an intellectual environment, where students can ask any query to the professor which leads to high number of placement from the college. Big Shot companies like HCL ,Nestle, Delloite ,Kazo, Amul, Bajaj, Mazars, ITC Hotels,HDFC etc had visited the company in past 1 month. More than 70 students has been placed till now and the placement is still going on. The average package being offered is 5.55 Lakh per annum. The lowest package till date is of 4.25 Lakh per annum, whereas highest being 6.50 Lakh . Student were offered quite good position from being an Associate hr to CR manager. Nearly, everyone got placed for internship programs.

Placement Experience

3.5

It has been only 3 months in Taxila business school and the environment is just great like the long hour classes, weekly task, assignment etc. We are trained very well to deal with the corporate world. We are even allotted live projects and the Mancomm session is just great as we face totally a corporate life experience during the session. The faculty members are excellent and doesn’t only give us theoretical knowledge but also practical knowledge too. We are always given different case studies to solve in class and we never get bored of the classroom sessions as we follow two way communication.

College Events

2.5

Whereas I always believed a fellowship in finance and accounting area would be an ordeal, at least the beginnings of the journey were unexpectedly war . Though hurt a little due to a shortage of physical space in Ranchi the capital city of Jharkhand, the administration and faculty along with work of students never let us feel a lack of facilities through their quick responses.

Fee Structure And Facilities

This course gives us good industry exposure. In fact, the faculty members are very helpful and always available to help out the students. The teaching methods used are via class activities, discussions, presentations and case studies. We're also engaged with many foreign universities.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college is not good in terms of salary package and placements. Finance specialisation is the worst. Also, there are several management issues. Companies are offering minimum packages and no relevant profiles has been offered to the students. The average salary package is 3 LPA and that too with ordinary profiles without big brands.

Campus Life

5

Infrastructure is not as par with other MBA colleges but when it comes to resources needed, Student Body Committee manage to arrange. Corporate Exposure is something which every student aspire for and we get it through Guest Lectures and other sessions. We usually have these sessions fixed in every week. The peer group and the activities we have inside the campus are very interesting and learning. College has good facility of Class rooms and Library is also there in which required stationary is always available. Canteen facility is inside the college. In sports Badminton court and TT is inside the college arena. Overall the infrastructure is not that huge but essential infrastructure is provided by the college.

Hostel Facilities

Placements are usually in month of December (Lateral Placements) and final placements in month of February. Companies register for the placements and recruit candidates in good numbers. Year by Year placements are showing increment in Average package. Last year Median package was above 20 Lakh INR per annum and Highest domestic package was 66 lakh INR per annum.

Alumni/Alumna

For marketing, it's okay. Last year, placements weren't bad. Almost 90% students got placed. The highest package offered was 14 LPA. I don't know about the lowest package. Big brands like Eureka Forbes, AC Nielson, Airtel, Lodha, and ITC visited. Most of the roles offered were that of sales executives/management trainee. Everyone got an internship, barring a guy or two who eventually got to work on a professor's project. The highest stipend was offered by Kalpataru (20k per month). Some companies make you work for no stipend in return.

Exam Structure

We have a suitably equipped gym with an instructor and the Khelgaon premises situated 300 metres from our hostel have almost all the sports though for a certain minimum fee. I am an FP scholar with relatively less knowledge of the placement process but the visits by top corporates and international placements for both the years can be substantiated. Allow me to say that IIM Ranchi is a great bet.

Admission

The university provides very good rate of placements to all the MBA students. All the 4 specializations have top companies coming for recruiting. Top package would be around 11 lakhs and lowest package. The class are well equipped and well maintained. You will get n number of books to enrich yourself. Everything including food, ACs, washroom are in always maintained with quality as it should be. Hostels are totally secured and even busses are provided to students to commute from hostel to college.

Faculty

3

The best part about any college is their faculty and JIMS have the best in NCR. The best of the best teachers are here and apart from the lectures, if anyone seeks help for extra class or any sort of guidance pr query you are always most welcomed. Till now, we have been to companies like Moserbear, Bisleri where we learn how things were done. Faculty always try to engage student, so that we can learn from them and at-least get a roughly idea about how works is done at manager level and how one has to tackle the different situation.

The college is very renowned and have a name and fame. The college provides all the basic requirement which need to be there in the college. The medical facilities and 5 mess are there for food facilities. There is no Negative stuff because everyone is quite helpful. Only negative thing is that the university is quite old so a renovation is required at some of the places.
