My experience in JIET Jodhpur

College admission was provided on the basis of JEE Mains ranking and 12th marks. I availed Rajasthan domicile citizen quota. The minimum age for admission is 17 years and JEE Mains marks are above 110 and the 12th percentage should be above 80%. After selection through marks, a counselling session was also held in which our basic info and details were asked.

I choose this course to persue my passion and dreams. Teachers here are very interactive and helping but I think students should have been given time for assignments and projects as there was a very burden for submission of projects and assignments. Faculty are highly qualified and trained. I don't feel any hesitation in talking to them or in clearing my doubts. Exams are very frequently taken and proper time should be given to studies otherwise you will be having backlogs.

Internship opportunities were offered like data organiser from Byju's and were a good job I would say but their payscale was relatively low I think. I was given a project from the oracle in a different field of interior design in Autocad. I completed it within the deadline and was awarded too for that.

From the 7th semester, I was eligible to take part in campus placements and relatively a lot of companies did campus visits for placements. Around 20-30 companies like Infosys, Wipro, Byjus, Acer, Intel, etc were visited during campus placement. The highest package was from Infosys of 40 lakhs and the average package in placement is 3.2 lakhs. I am currently placed in a data analyst job in an IT company after completing my B.Tech.

The fees structure of my course was around 1.2 lakhs per year. The fee hike policy is not a great thing I think as they are already charging a lot of fees from students. There were very few scholarship policies for students. I think they should also provide some more scholarship policies to help students reduce their financial burden. I was not given provided with any scholarship policy.

College fest was organised once a year named JIET Festival. It was conducted around March-April month. A lot of opportunities are provided in the fests to show our talent. The library was large and contained all the basic books needed. Classrooms were having smartboards for presentations. Sports tournaments were organised frequently and the college campus area is very good. College is spread in 5 acres and had good vibes when roaming through it. Local groups were created by students for fun and some social media pages were also run by students.
