Remarks
I applied for Xavier University Bhubaneswar but I didn't attend because Birla Global University seemed to be a more suitable option for me. The admission criteria for Bachelor in Journalism and Mass Communication is minimum 55% in 10+2. Some students are even called up for Personal Interview. The admission process went smoothly without any hurdles.
Course Curriculum Overview
I have always wanted to grow in the field of Journalism and Mass Communication and that's how I opted for this course. Birla Global University is one of the best colleges for this field. The course curriculum is very much relevant and updated that prepares us for the future endeavours. The faculty is well qualified and even though we had online classes they quickly bonded with us. Their teaching method is practical and they provide us with valuable examples from their experience. Throughout the year we have 2 semester examinations and internals.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are mostly offered from beginning itself. When we joined, we were offered various internship opportunities in content writing, production, film making, public relations in the first year itself. Most of the internships are unpaid.
Placement Experience
Campus placement is provided to students who have completed their master's degree. Our seniors were given the opportunity to work in their dream jobs at companies like ADFactors PR, Zee Entertainment, Genesis BCW, ETV Bharat, Inshorts, Pahara, Ketchum Sampark PR and more.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is very much transparent and due to Covid-19 we were also provided with Covid discount. The scholarship program is as follows: 20% waiver on course fee if minimum 60% is scored in 10+2 examinations. 25% waiver on course fee if minimum 70% is scored in 10+2 examinations. 30% waiver on course fee if minimum 80% is scored in 10+2 examinations. 40% waiver on course fee if minimum 90% is scored in 10+2 examinations.
Campus Life
I joined the campus amidst covid and that's why I haven't experienced the campus life yet. However, our seniors and faculty were very welcoming and we were provided with Radio club, Sports club and Literary club to join in.
