Entrance Preview

Lateral entry, I opted every college in the list and I got the this automatically. I had a rank of 2100, I don't remember the exact figure.

Course Curriculum Overview

1

The course I know was it's name. I had already completed my diploma in computer engineering so I was happy with that. But while my studies I do understand that they provide only theoretical knowledge and make dummies. Who don't have relevant knowledge and know nothing on the base or core.

Internships Opportunities

No we don't get any internship or company visits. Our college was not organised and they problem nothing. They do take the fees only on time. Thats what their responsibility called.

College Events

1.5

The only memories we have the birthdays, holy festivals, fights, strikes, and sports organised by us, arts too. One tech fest also. Eventually it's organised by students, but actually the students are from nearby. They do go home daily, so it's a less opportunity to discuss much, and also less participation.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees structure goes down every year because, the number of students goes from 3000-2000-1000-500 when I passed out. Happy to see that someone understand what's happening to us. The management never did anything to change this, and after all they started 2 branches civil and mechanical with no lab facility, by stopping IT branch which already have labs.

Exam Structure

Labs, really nothing compared to other colleges, running in windows XP, with no assistance. The lab assistance is like visiting some ministers. We don't get them when we need them. We didn't have any softwares, we don't have internet service, everything really had, but not possible to use.

Admission

They first took the paper describes my rank and the gave me a form which includes my personal and educational details. After that they asked me to pay the fees. Then they took the fees and asked me to submit all the documents. After that the provide me the slips and over.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of the college is very active. You can get internships starting 2nd year and placements starting 3rd year. About 75% of people get placed. Many MNCs like Texas Instruments are consistent hirers. The highest package of 2025 for my course is 1 crpa. The average is about 7 lpa. A student can get 5,6 offers. I plan on higher studies abroad because I want to learn more in-depth about the course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because the curriculum covers key subjects like Python, Machine Learning, Data Science, and Deep Learning right from the early semesters. The inclusion of electives such as IoT, Cloud Computing, and NLP made it future-relevant and versatile.

Placements are really good. Since college is related to ISRO maximum students with cgpa above than 7 are elligible for ISRO interviews and are selected based on their performance. Apart from ISRO many campanies like Texas Instruments, UTS, Mercedez , also come here for recruuitment. Many also opt for M.tech and MBA after graduation

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.

Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies - [KUFOS], Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Food Technology)
Reviewed on May 11, 2024(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was never interested in engineering. I passed KEAM entrance exam. So my parents forced me to become an engineer. Since I was interested, I thought food technology might be a good branch in engineering. So I got admission in KUFOS through allotment. The course is actually good . In the 1st year, you study basic engineering, 2nd year onwards food related courses are taught. If you are a student who only have the intention to study you will find this college easy to adjust. They provide all facilities to study. There is no particular frequency for a semester. Even though academic calender is there for each batch it is not followed properly. In this college the course may last upto 4.5 years. Due to this reason the students ask the management to cut shot semester breaks so that they won't loose 1 year.

Remarks:

I only have postive thoughts about that campus. The campus helped me to remove my pre-occupations, inhibitions, fear etc. It gave a lot of memorable moments, large number of friends. The most special thing about the college is those memorable friendships with the faculties whos understand students very well.
