Ajeet Kumar Varma's Review On United College Of Engineering & Research - [UCER], Allahabad

I took part in UPSEE 2001 in which i got not very good ranking . At year 2001 no score was available to display in UPSEE exam . I took admission because it was near from my native place(Ballia U.P.) even my seat was belonging from free seat .

The course was as per AKTU (at that time it was UPTU) . It was very good and challenging course . It has very fast and challenging semesters schedule . I do't know present status but at that time we are always engaged in our class or laboratory rather than research .

At time (2005) some companies came (Infosys, Satyam, Birla Soft) in my college and some my fellows students were selected also. At that Infosys offers 1.5Lacs per year , Birla Soft offers 1.9 Lacs per year while Satyam offers approximately 1.2 Lacs per year . Unfortunately at that i was in those student which was gotten campus selected .

No I was not very good student and performance was not so good it was just normal or below normal . So I was never offered any scholarship . I did not take loan also .

Since I did not accommodate in hostel but some of my friend were in hostel . At that time Hostel cost was approximately Rs. 60000 per annual including Mess charge . In one hostel room there were 2 students . Mess arrangement was very good and food quality was also very good . some times i also took mess food and it was very good .

Their were two internal exams and labs while one University exam and labs . Internal exams were marks were very important because according to those marks we are gotten the overall average internal marks which was added to over all marks along with University paper marks .

The faculty was combination of both experienced and new . Some of retired professors (MNIT, KNIT, Allahabad University) etc. was also in my college as their faculty Head . Some of new guys (recently passed out) were also there . Overall it was a good structure of faculty at that time as per a private Institute .
