Loyola the name stands

I applied for Madras christian college, tambaram and Loyola college,chennai. I didn't get the admission in the first try, second try and even after all the three lists were announced my name was not on the board, So I joined in Jaya college of arts and science in nemilicherry. After one month of going there i got a call from Loyola so thats how i joined the college. It depends upon the marks and sometimes the grace of god that you fall into good hands, because during the time i joined my bachelors Loyola was one of the top colleges for science, and the admission was purely on marks. During my masters programme, the selection was through entrance exam and an interview from the rescpective departments. As you know good teachers can cultivate good students. I did cleared the admission process and joined there. Although there goes a rumours about admission process only goes to the roman catholics and the wealthier people, i am from neither of the background.

I loved physics and got inspired my alumini who worked there as a part time teacher. That is how I got the love of physics. There is enough of faculty members working there to accomodate all the classes. The faculties are very well qualified and they teachings are mostly oriented towards the research field they are oriented during the masters degree programme. The internal exams are conducted every once in 30-45 days as per the schedule in college calender. The semesters are always at the end of the semi annual calender. Twice in a year the semester is taking place. Teachers are very well expertised and can help you with the studies.

Yes, there were companies that hired with stipend and internships, but i dont have the name of the companies...There were many oppurtunities we liked to search for the companies during summer holidays and the break his during final semester days.

Campus placements are eligible for final year students alone. They bring in many companies. Many attend and many go, so i dont have a perfect data about that. There were varying oppurtunities from the companies bachelors degree, masters degree till pH.D...but i have seen till masters degree

I have gone through the fee structures of various colleges but Loyola offers scholarship for most of the students are from a poor economical background as well as those who cannot offer the amount of fee. There is a center inside the campus named LSSS to offer students with financial and social help. It is the students help center run by the fathers . It also offers help to studentsby giving them jobs also. It also gives financial assistance to students who are staying in the hostels. There are various facilities which also i am not aware of. I got Mid-day meal scheme, where they offered food to students who are coming from afar. I also got fee concession from LSSS, where almost 60-75% of my fee is reduced,for some of my friends i have seen that they might get 90-95% fee reductions.

The Library is one of the things that you cannot miss. It is one of the good things present there, that i would miss even right now. It is a collection of books. For persons like me it is a heaven, One of the largest library having book section,journal section, news papers, research thesis, e-books in digital library etc., is present there. The sports events done here is one of the good things here that will not only call the athletes or the sports persons but also other persons to participate in the activities. The clubs and other social activites here are compulsory here, at first it might seem like what a frustrating job (not for those who enjoy) but while looking the later benefits it all flies away. Ovations is one of the areas where all the departments try to participate and show their talents, it is a colllage of events dislayed by the students union and the college management. It will give all the students equal chances.
