The ISB experience is a one I will carry with me always. From the amazing peer group to global curriculum, experienced faculty and learning opportunities the school offers the best business school environment in India.

I took the GMAT and scored 690. I had wanted to be part of an MBA program that had an experienced peer group and was based on the Global MBA programs specially the United States. Indian School of Business is the best in India with regard to curriculum, professors and peer group.

The course structure is comprehensive and rigorous. It is divided into Core and elective subjects. There are 4 core terms and 4 elective terms of 6 weeks each. There are innumerable options for elective subjects. The One year program touches on every aspect of the business including Finance, Marketing, Operations, Statistics, Strategy and Entrepreneurship.

The program is a one year course hence there is no internship however the program offers Experiential Learning Programs which are short consulting projects with real companies.

The average pay for the batch is between 25-28 lakhs and the entire batch get placed by the end of the course.The school has companies in all sectors and industries recruit for the class. Consulting, Finance, Marketing, General Management, Impact Investment, Product Management, Program Manager, Start-ups and Leadership roles are the most sought after.

The college holds the Biggest Leadership event called the ILS - ISB Leadership Summit that sees participation from world business leaders and industry experts on topics of global governance and business. The second biggest event is a management festival - Advaita - which is the annual management fest of ISB which sees participation from management schools across India.

The Fee is 25 lakh for a year long program, which is considered to be on the higher side however the facilities that the school offers is unmatched to any other school in India. The fee can be paid by taking a loan or by using personal finances. The fee has to be paid in two installments over the year.

The college offers partial and full scholarship which is based on academic achievements and previous work experience.

The Gender Ratio is 70:30 Males : Females one of the best amongst all the Business Schools in India. There is opportunity for innumerable case competitions, sport activities (there is an ISB Sports league on campus) , research activities, entrepreneurship funding and training and extra- curricular events. The school is very accepting of people from all backgrounds, races and religious orientations.

There are 2 kinds of housing facilities available - shared accommodation and studio accommodation. The quality is amazing the housekeeping services better than most hotels in India. Preference for studio accommodation is given to students with families.

The alumni network is vast and widespread, spread globally in various organisations. The senior students are very helpful in giving information of the roles they are in currently and the process of reaching out to a company through networking.

There are mid-terms and end-terms for each of the core terms. There are assignments, projects and team - projects during the course which count towards the grade. Attendance and class participation also count towards the grade in the course.

There are several option for applications : (Early Entry Program, Young Leader program and the regular admission process). I was part of the regular process. The admission process is dependent on the Admission Application form which is available online once you register as an applicant on the ISB website. I applied in Round 1 of the program.

The faculty is one of the best and most experienced that can be. 60%-70% faculty is visiting faculty from the best MBA Schools around the world. The school represented are Harvard, Wharton, Stern , London Business School, Kenan - Flagler and many more. The professors and quality of courses make what ISB is today.
