Reviewing GEC Bilaspur

I already wanted to get into Gec Bilaspur, the reason being that it was the college in my city itself so I need not leave my place and go somewhere else to study. Another thing was the decent fee structure, as it is a college aided by the state government of chhatisgarh , students can pursue them. Btech degree by paying so less for the degree. Earlier ,the college or let's say the university, provided the degree of BE to it's students but now when we are getting the same degree in this college and plus from the same university , what's wrong in getting into it ; after all wherever you reside you'll have to make Equal efforts to achieve something. Till the date I was allotted a seat in the college ,I took admission at the CEC bilaspur but later withdrew. Next talking about the admission, so this is possible by appearing in the cgpet examination conducted purposely for the admission into engineering colleges in Cg. There is a certain cutoff for every branch based on the no. of seats that year.

I chose computer science branch. I don't have that idea about the Faculty-student ratio. But I must say we have the best out of best well-qualified faculties who have cleared the Cgpsc and achieve their designation, Also from the NITs and IITs, each one is well trained in their perspective. The end sem examination is conducted at the end of each semester and two class tests during the semester.

From the 7-8th sem, the students are eligible for the placement. The companies like zimetrics technologies visit the college. The fee structure is very decent as compared to other colleges in the university. Timely Scholarship for the deserving students and even for the students getting admitted by the quota. The college lags in the Placement scenario, companies do visit the campus but still, the package provided isn't much effective.

The annual fest "Kaushalam " is celebrated annually by the students and faculty members of the college. Adequate books are there in the library as per the need of the students. Smart classrooms. Sports and extracurricular activities have a separate department wherein we have furnished sports goods. Certain clubs like yoga clubs, the literary clubs do exists.
