Anirban Ghosh's Review On Annamalai University - [AU], Chidambaram

I got admission to this college by qualifying the AIEEE exams and by counselling. The admission process was simple and college was pretty open to the students and staff helped a lot.

Well, I opted for B.E. Electronics & Communication. The course/syllabus was well prepared and designed strictly by following UGC/AICTE norms. The 1st year, we all branches shared a same classroom. From the 3rd semester, we were to attend classes in our own particular branch.

Our College does not provide any internship from the College end. However we can in person attend internships if in any case necessary.

Well to be very honest, the placements of Annamalai University are not upto the mark. A huge number of students pass out from a single department (may it be any department) at a time, with good marks, but to my surprise, the placements conducted by our Placements & training Cell are not up to the mark and requires up gradation.

Well, like any other college, events are celebrated in all branches of the University. Intellectual events, cultural events, National level Seminars, Exhibitions are the ones which comprises most of the programs and events held in Annamalai University.

Campus life cannot be described mere in words. I can keep on writing and writing and writing. Gender ratio is well balanced, students from all over the country and also from overseas come to study. The campus is of 1500 acres. Separate campuses for physical education, sports are available. When taking about labs, I don't see any other college in entire India which provides such good labs.

I applied for admission in this college by filling up the form provided by college(offline that time). Had to show my my AIEEE scorecard and all the documents such as +2 marksheets, transfer certificates and all those which your school/college provides on passing +2. Finally I received the admit card and got admission by counselling process.

The Faculty of Annamalai University is heavily qualified mostly comprising PhDs, M. Techs and so on with heavy experience in the field of teaching. However, qualifications aside, the faculty was well experienced as to how to deal with students to carry out the teaching-learning process in a smooth manner and were extremely helpful and used lucid techniques and language to explain things whether in class or off class.
