Banasthali Vidyapith Jaipur, B.Sc, Mathematics
Reviewed on Jul 14, 2021(Enrolled 2017)

Remarks

1)I have applied for Bhartiya Vidyapeeth, Pune. The reason I did not go there is that the travel time and the distance between my hometown and the university will be too far like if anything will happen how can my family member will reach there. Also, there was no family relative whom I can ask to be the local guardian. 2)No admission quota availed for my admission as I am from the General category. 3)The admission criteria were First come First serve for B.Sc maths also the minimum marks required to eligible for admission was to secure 65% in 12 standards. 4)The admission process was easy, not tough. First, you need to bring all required documents (12 mark sheets, aadhar cards, photos etc). then you have to fill a form with all details required, then your medical checkup will be done like height, weight etc., then counselling the teachers are very polite their they will ask "Are you able to live without family", "can you wear khadi" etc. after that you have to deposit fees for applied course.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

1)I choose BSc Mathematics with Statistics and Computer Science because Statistics is very career oriented and important in finance, economy. Statistics is nowadays the best option for a career taking like a statistician, data analyst, economist, financial analyst etc. and computer science is an evergreen good option for the career we became skilful by learning python, C. C++. 2)Banasthali Vidyapeeth is a women university, the crowd is very good like students by themselves want to explore learn new things in batch 2017-2020 the faculty: student ratio was 60:220. 3) all teachers are well qualified they have done their PhD also. teachers have approx 16-17+ years of experience in their field. 4)There we have our periodicals test they are similar to unit test, the duration is 1:30 hours for 5 questions the level of unit test is quite tough the max marks are10 there is no practical unit test, the semester exam is of 3 hours and for each unit, the max marks are 60 and there are practice exams.

Placement Experience

1.5

1)for B.Sc maths students only computer science student is eligible for placements, in there last yr and 5 semesters they became eligible for placements. 2)only 2-3 company visits for placements for B.Sc students names: TCS, Deloitte, Wipro only. 3)for our batch only 3 students get placed 1 for Deloitte, 2 for TCS. the package for Deloitte is 3.80 lac per annum and for TCS was 1.90 lacs per annum. 4)3% students get placed in B.Sc maths. 5)my plan after getting my degree was to prepare for Bank PO exams alongside doing my masters in data science as I wasn't get placed but reached till the interview.

Fees and Financial Aid

1)there was no hike in fees in my duration of the study, B.Sc maths fees are about 1,37,000 per annum including hostel. B.Tech / MBA/ B.Pharma fees cost 1,60,000 per annum includes hostel. The hostels are fine and so is the food of the hostel, but the canteens food are very delicious. You can keep an electric kettle if you want to make Maggi or coffee etc. there is no objection to that.

Campus Life

4

1)There is an annual fest in November named "Apaji mela" this is the best fest there, there come so many slides, food, firecracker. this fest is for 3 days. The first day is the cultural night where interested students participate in dance or music or drama, the second day is fun like slides, street food, music, dress up etc. third day is Dinner night where we have to go for dinner and the university serves litti chokha its too delicious. 2)the library is very big you can find research work, projects, millions of books, newspapers, all educational magazines. there is hardly any book that you cant find there. 3)classrooms are well furnished, the tables, chairs are in good condition. 4)Banasthali focuses on children overall development not only in study but also in other development too. As per your interest, you can join the dance, instrument music, art, horse riding, swimming, cricket, aviation etc,

Hostel Facilities

3.5

1)the newly made hostels are best like the bed is so comforting, with that you will have a pillow, mattress, a well furnished study table with table lamp on it with the good chair. the washroom is also clean. there are 2,3,4,5,6 sharing rooms. 2)you will get 4 time meal in a day the breakfast and lunch are good, evening snacks is just fine and dinner is fine not that good. 3)since banasthali is a fully residential university the hostel is compulsory but not for day scholars. Hostel allotment is done by them only they put same course children in the same hostel not in different for communication ease.

Other Applied Colleges

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course which i took is general bsc biology. As i was very fond of biology subject. I also find it very challenging and exiting to learn about the organisms which are alive and how they live. As for faculty, we have very few teachers in science department. The way of their teaching is decent. You can easily pass the exam with their notes. I also want that their should be different classes for English medium students and hindi medium because sometimes it gets confusing to understand some terms as also for teachers. And as i said before that the exam difficulty is moderate there's not much difficulty level.
