My Life at GU, Greater Noida

Galgotias University from where I am doing MBA is a private university which is a member of AIU and is approved by UGC. Further, the placement record from MBA department is 90% and overall 100% placement rate has been witnessed. Also, the fee structure for MBA program 3.2 lakhs for 2 year and that is quite low as compared to other college's management fee So, basically for all these reasons, I decided to opt for MBA program from this University.Further, when I saw the placement rate, its ranking I waited for the release of application form and lastly, in the month of June and paid 1100 as application fee. Moreover, while filling the form, I provided my marks obtained in 10th, 12th and undergraduate and since, the admission for MBA is done on the basis of CAT, MAT, CMAT, and other exams, I provided my score of CAT exam. Then, based on my score in CAT exam, I got admission into this college.

The faculty members of our department is too co-operative and they endow us with the quality education through classroom lectures, case studies, live projects, by organising seminars, webinars, training session and so forth. Most importantly, industry visit is an integral part of the course curriculum and so, they take to Industrial visit where we interact with experts and get to know their experiences work environment, and other required things as well. The course curriculum of MBA program is designed to nurture our analytical, managerial and entrepreneurial skills along with the professional understanding of the business decisions' social impact. In addition to this, as per the curriculum prescribed by the University, the faculty members impart theoretical knowledge along with the hands-on experience and shape us to be the future ready leaders so that we could take up challenges in the business world. Further, our ability to analyze, understand, and communicate economic, global, legal, and ethical aspects of business is enhanced in the MBA program.

For us, to get placed in good organisation, the placement cell of our college remains active for whole year and plays and important role in inviting leading companies to participate in placement drive. Moreover, our faculty members help us a lot as they train us to work as a team, enhance our presentation and communication skills and develop positive attitude and confidence in us. Further, our college holds 90% on campus placement record to top organisations like ICICI Bank, Just dial limited, Indiamart, Genpact, EFL, Byju's, HDFC Bank, and others.Among all the recruiters,the highest package offered was 10 LPA by LIDO Learning whereas the average package witnessed was 4 LPA.Since, the placement rate of our college is good and the participating employers offer decent package, I have decided to continue with my work once I get placed in a good company.

In the first year for MBA program, I paid 1.6 lakhs and that for two years, the total amount I paid was 3.2 lakhs in which tuition fees and examination fees were included. Moreover, for accommodation and food, I paid extra charges. Moreover, several scholarship provisions are available including merit-cum-means scholarship for those who are from economically weaker section or differently abled students. Also, merit scholarship is available for the meritorious students based on their performance in the entrance test of our University, 12th, graduation, or in the national level management test. Furthermore, sport quota scholarship is also offered to deserving candidates. And since I scored more than 60 percentile in CAT examination, I got 20% tuition fee waiver in the first year.

There are numerous reasons due to which my campus life at Galgotias University has been dynamic. So, first of all, our university has several students clubs like camcircle - photography club, Galgotias Volleyball Club, Galgotias Studio D - Dance Club, Note Veda - the Music Club, the actor's hub - dramatics Club, and others which are responsible for organising different events. Moreover, since I had interest in dancing, I joined dance club and to join it, I gave audition and got selected after which I used to go and practice with my colleagues. Apart from spending time in classroom and dance club, I hangout with my friends in cafeterias, playground, and library where a huge collection of study materials, journals, research papers, case studies, books are available. Also, our college conducts UNIFEST, an annual fest of our college generally conducted in the month of February. Moreover, Fresher's party, farewell, convocation function, Diwali and other festival's celebration, conferences, and other events take place oftenly. And so, my campus life here is going amazing.
