The University Placement Cell at Kanpur University was set up in the year 2009. The placement cell takes charge of not only the university students but the affiliated college students that come under the university as well. To enhance the chances of selection of their students, workshops for improvement in several skills are functioned. Training is provided to the students by the experts and seniors of the university’s placement cell. Students get to understand and face the real workplace challenges in the internships and workshops facilitated by Kanpur University. Job fest is organised and companies are invited to offer job opportunities to the students. Recruiting companies of the university include Naukri.com, RHDL, IIMS, Eureka Forbes, Policybazaar, Royal Cancer Institute etc.

Kanpur University provides degrees in branches of Marketing, Mechanical Engineering, Finance and Control, Interior Design, Fashion Technology etc. These courses are MCH, MSc (Master of Science), MPEd (Master of Physical Education), MPharm, MFA (Master of Fine Arts), BPT, BBA, LLB etc. are available for a minimum of two years and up to four years. Integrated courses are also available in the university with a duration of five years.
