Remarks

The college management has a very good system of linear network which goes from peons to the professors. If you have a problem, go to the concerned person and it will be solved. We have extreme security services , we have finger-print sensor entries and extreme ban against ragging. Teachers here are very helpful, they give you their phone number if you want to contact them.

Entrance Preview

I had to appear for the special entrance test for this college known as BVPCET (Bharati Vidyapeeth Common Entrance Test). I chose this college because it is situated in Pune, one of the IT hubs of India, also this college has pretty high standards for discipline and regularities. My all India rank was 233.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Because this is a deemed university, its course curriculum is defined by itself and that, as a matter of fact, is really awesome. For a small instance, our college has a subject called the principle of programming paradigms (an introduction to programming languages and how it works). This subject is really necessary but it isn't available in many colleges, not in the first year itself.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, our college provides internships. Moreover, our college also tells the companies that the internship programs can happen in the college itself so that neither the students nor the companies would have to face any kind of troubles. I don't really know about the general stipend of these but what I know is that the seniors are very happy about the new internships seasons nowadays.

Placement Experience

4.5

After the NIRF gave the college its all India ranking of 61, the placement seasons have got really good lately. Even the great companies like Amazon was here for this placement season, coming in at a 15 LPA package. From the next year these things will get better drastically.

College Events

4

We have "Bhartiyam" as our college fest which happens in February. This comprises of all kinds of performances and competitions like coding competitions and robo wars. There are many different competitions through out the year also. I'm still a first-year student, yet I participated in a competition called the code matrix. I did stand 3rd overall. The competition was 3 staged and was well managed.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is actually quite feasible. The yearly fee is 95,000 and there are some fee about the exams also (not much). If you want you can also opt for hostel if you want, you cannot be in the hostel other than your first year. Girls can live in the hostel for all four years. The discipline and security s very good there also.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our college also has their own bank so they can give loan to their students easily, moreover they can allow for late fee also in case you don't have it at the moment. For scholarship however you need to have good scholastic abilities, only being poor won't help. I got ₹1000 for standing 3rd in the code matrix competition.

Campus Life

5

Campus life is quite normal at its best. The gender ratio is what it normally is in other engineering colleges. The labs are quite decent, this is one of the best colleges in India for the engineering labs, that's what I think. For computer labs, we have 4 servers. That is very high. For civil labs, we have the auto level, an equipment which is not available in many colleges and also it costs ₹300000.

Alumni/Alumna

I don't really know much about the alumni network, however, what I know is that the senior students are very helpful. We have a subject called as the engineering graphics which requires many stationary items. I got all those from one of the seniors. Ragging here is strictly ban. You can imagine a total playful environment around here as long as seniors are concerned.

Exam Structure

The exam structure is very clear and simple yet very defining. We now have CBCS (Choice Based Credit System). That means we have the CGPA system and not the percentage system that got old. We have a total of 100 marks and out of that we have 40 marks internal. In those 40 marks we have 10 for attendance, 10 for assignments and 20 for unit tests. The rest 60 marks are for the end semester exams.

Admission

After the entrance test, I went for the counselling of the college. During the counselling, I was called according to my merit no. for the branch that I wanted to opt for. The branch that I wanted was Computer Science and Engineering because it has been my area of interest since my childhood.

Faculty

3.5

The faculties of the college are quite good actually. Not everyone is that much good but everyone is quite devoted to their work. Once we were having our programming classes and suddenly we had a class from a veteran programming teacher. We were told that she will teach us from the second year, believe me, she was extremely good.
