Remarks
The reason why I went for LNCT was that the College provides good opportunities, placements and the curriculum is as per RGPV, I got admission based on my Jee percentile which was 68. The admission process was smooth, I got a call after the results that I have got a seat and I should come with the required documents and confirm admission as I had already filled their inquiry form. The teachers are willing to help, They'll take the documents and took care of the rest of the admission process. So, Overall the admission process was easy. The campus has an area of approx. 45 acres.
Course Curriculum Overview
CSE is a demanding degree, whether it be any IT field in the industry that's why I chose it. The Faculty are all highly educated and experienced. I've met some teachers with experience of more than 25+ years. The faculty to student ratio is good, they give attention to everyone in terms of understanding the concepts. The teaching method is interactive and easy to understand with amazing faculty members. As per the exams, the best thing is you get 10 full marks if your attendance is above 75% over the semester, The mid sem this time was based on MCQs due to corona, these MCQs had 20 questions each and then the exams conducted by RGPV was written followed by viva session. Overall if you study hard mid semester are not too tough.
Internships Opportunities
Most of the students get internships from Internshala or LinkedIn, some of the roles like, as for CS branch it is web development, Computer vision, NLP, ML, and much more. Projects I have worked on are text analytics, time-series data, Data preprocessing, etc. The college will give you opportunities it's up to you whether to take it or not.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for campus placement from around 6-7-8th semesters. The companies are all big and high reputation ones providing good placements. Companies like Cognizant, Deloitte, Infosys, Wipro, Amazon, TCS, swiggy, and many more. Most numbers of offers were made by cognizant which was more than 500. Almost most of the students got good package and jobs the percentage is 90%. And as per my plans is to get a position as a software engineer or developer at these companies.
Fees and Financial Aid
As I know there is no fees hike policy but they sure take an additional amount sometimes. They keep us up to date about the scholarships from its affiliated University- RGPV, I'm currently a 2 sem student so as per the seniors the salary package and the jobs (placement) are pretty good. The placement cell of the college is determined fully to help students.
Campus Life
There's a small welcoming ceremony for 1st year and the tech fest is highly informative and interactive and absolutely worth it. The best thing about the library is that they issue you all the main subject's books at the start of the semester and you have to submit them back by the end of semester exams, so it's really helpful and affordable for students. Extracurricular activities, we have many competitions like debate, rangoli making, online gaming and it all went live on FB this time in the tech fest. There are Clubs- Nature club, LNCT coders group, music club, photography club, and LNCT has their own Radio club run by Students live on YouTube.
