Remarks

Applied for Rathinam college of arts and science but didn't join because co curricular activities are not encouraged by the college No, I haven't applied for any quota for my admission to Sri Krishna arts and science college The admission criteria for Ba English literature is a minimum of 70% in 12 standards or equivalent. There was also a personal interview that the students have to attend to get admission to the college. The admission process was very smooth. The college requests the students to visit the college on the day of 12 board exam results. Once the student has qualified the minimum aggregate score required for the course, the recruited staff checks the Genuinity of the documents submitted. Once the documents are verified the students is admitted in the college by paying the first semester college fee.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I had chosen Ba English because I wanted to pursue law in future so developing my English language is very important in law. The faculties are really helpful and the teacher teaches online using a smartboard. Even in the pandemic, we didn't have any issues with online classes The teachers are well qualified and most of them are PhD holders. The classes are very interactive. The classes are taken through the google classroom application with the help of ppt and other materials. The college also has an interactive website in my classroom where the students get notifications about various events happening in college, timetables., examination results etc. An academic semester consists of 85-90 days the students are required to have a minimum of 75% of attendance to attend the exams. The term exams are quite difficult to pass.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are pretty much high and the fees are hiked every semester. The examination fees are to paid separately by students. The language fees for French is also extra. Scholarship are given for students for sc, st students. The students are also given scholarship for excellent academic record. The college also helps in getting a loan for students. Many companies conduct their placement drives in the college , the average package is about 1.5 to 3 lac per annum. Some companies that regularly recruit are Infosys, wipro, Amazon, byjus, white hat jr. The placement offers for the year 2021 is 2100 offers.

Campus Life

3

The main disadvantage of Krishna college is that there no cultural fest that is conducted. There are just inter- college events that are conducted by the various department in the college. Sri Krishna college has a huge library and almost all books for reference are available in the library. In case the book is not available we can recommend the librarian for the book which they may buy if found useful for the students. Classrooms are huge with proper ventilation. It's a green campus so there is plenty of beautiful spots inside the campus itself. The classroom is equipped with smart classes. Drinking Water is available on every floor. There are a lot of sports events and sports clubs that one can register themselves. There are also other extracurricular activities conducted by the departments. There is Red Cross, NCC, NSS, women's Club, English language forum and many other clubs. There are also daily news journals known as skasc beats where students can send their articles.

The department of English not only offers good education but also so many values to lead our life. Faculties were so friendly in clearing students' doubts. There was personality development course to improve students' personality. Students had to choose any other subjects other than they are studying for sbi course. Due to this students learn about other subjects too.

They also conduct orientation program for attending interviews traings and other personality enrichment activities for our benefits like conducting pre - placement training, including resume building workshops, mock interviews, and skill development programs for preparing as precautionary to avoid rejections in interviews. Average Students participate in the placement process by securing offers, depending on the batch. Over the past few years, our college has an increasing number of offers made, I thank our college for growing reputation and industry ties. The Average salary package ranges from rupees 3-5 lac per annum with most students being placed in roles such as Travel Consultants, Tourism Managers and Event Planners. My Future Plans: If I don't secure a placement through campus recruitment, I Plan to focus on building my career through internships and freelancing. I am particularly interested in sustainable tourism and may look for opportunities in eco-tourism companies and tourism boards. Additionally, I'm considering pursuing further studies, such as a Master's in Tourism Management or certifications in Digital Marketing for the Travel industry, to enhance my skill set and broaden my career prospects. The strong foundation from my Sindhi College will provide me with the flexibility to pursue various career paths, whether in corporate roles or starting my own venture in Tourism sector. Madras School of Economics - [MSE], Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (Economics)
Reviewed on Sep 17, 2024(Enrolled 2024)

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well the course provides almost everything which is needed and available. This is not a normal economics course as it involves statistics, python, core math and also dives into data science. This allows the students to explore various subjects and can choose which is their best fileld. The curriculum overall is very rigorous and intense but you can crack it if you study regularly. About the frequencies of the examinations, we have 2 internal examinations and 1 end semester examination. I can guarantee that this course is super rigorous but im not sure if i would necessarily say that the course is "practical" and it helps us in the real word. I cannot comment on the practicality of the courses. The exams are not super difficult and its moderate. Getting more than 90% can be challenging although clearing the paper won't be an impossible task.
