Entrance Preview

I took the entrance IIT JEE and my cutoff was 50 (OBC) which was very low and I choosed SRM University from the given options.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course Curriculum and was based on the syllabus followed in NITs and IITs.

Internships Opportunities

I got internship from Adaptavant Technologies which was located in Ascendas Tech Park Taramani. I did my internship in Cloud Computing project and they offered Rs 6500 as stipend. The other companies were Pointel solutions, Ordyn Technologies, Infineon Technologies etc.

Placement Experience

The placement and job opportunities was excellent. The top MNC Companies such as TCS, CTS, Infosys, Wipro, Mahindra Satyam came to placement, and I had been placed in TCS. Thanks to SRM University and currently I am working as Software Developer in TCS Siruseri Chennai.

Alumni/Alumna

I rate the Alumini Network 10/10. Alumini meet has been conducted every year in our college and during last year when I went to the college, I had the chance to interact with my juniors.

After 6 semester the students are eligible for all the core and it placements. For us the core companies are Capgemini tech pub(32), sopra steria(5) and boeing . The highest package is 8lpa and average is 5 lpa Out of 100 55 students are getting placed each year. I got placement in Capgemini and I am working on Capgemini.

Is VIT worth it

Placement Experience:

Placements in VIT UNIVERSITY is very good the average package is 8 lakhs and the Highest may go upto 1 crore every year.There is a separate placement cell in VIT chennai and they give you placement training from start of the third year. Many multinational companies like google, microsoft etc comes to VIT to pick students for their company. Almost 98 percent of the students gets places in VIT. After my degree I choose to sit for placements.

I applied at PDEU, Gandhinagar and SRMIST and both colleges admissions were almost done but since my family is from Chennai, we al decided to stay close to home atleast for UG.
