College life of a Civil Engineer

The admission process was easier than the other college admission. For admission to my college, first, we have to qualify for the entrance exam and then the admission is processed on your rank. During my admission, counseling was conducted in many rounds but I got my seat in the first round of my counseling. The Exam was conducted by the State Government technical university, which conducted in a very fair manner.

First of all, my course was unique from the other course. And other engineering courses were derived after Civil Engineering. My interest was always in civil engineering, that's why I opted for this course. Also, I would like to share that my batch was the first batch of civil engineering from my college. Sp, faculties were mostly experienced from their respective field jobs, which later shared all their actual field experience which have definitely helped me in my career. Exams always conducted as per the scheduled program which was given during the starting of any session.

The fee was never hiked during my course. The fee structure was very affordable for a normal family unit. We have also had the feature for the EMI system for the fees (but exactly I don't remember the nos. of EMI). No scholarship provided during my course time. However, scholarships for others were provided by the state government on the basis of family income.

College organises the college fest i.e. Kolaahal. Kolaahal is mostly conducted during the Diwali season. Tech fest also conducted during the annual fest. Tech. fest of my college was very famous in the UP-west where students participate from other colleges also and win amazing prizes as per the event. During the second as we were the first batch, books were not easily available, but we managed through the internet. I passed B. Tech in 2013, so amenities were not that much available (just a simple class room with experienced teachers and with a simple board). College schedule was so hectic we could not participate in the sports event or extra curricular activities on the campus.
