Life in Gautam Buddha University

In Gautam Buddha University, for pursuing an MBA one needs to have a bachelor's degree with at least 65-70%. The academic fees are 60,000/- per semester, the hostel is compulsory. Hostel fees are 30,000/yr and mess fees 35,000/yr. During counseling, students need to submit their mark sheets (10th std, 12th std) and for pursuing MBA students need to submit their Bachelor's results. Students are provided with a letter that will confirm their admission into the university. GBU faculty is very helpful and teachers are highly qualified. Teacher's resumes are uploaded on the GBU site. The classrooms are air-conditioned and projectors are installed in each classroom. Teachers use green boards along with slides on the projector for teaching. Pursuing an MBA course from this university would be a good decision since students would get a positive learning environment in their classrooms.

Pursuing MBA in this university would be beneficial since the class is interactive and the environment of the classroom is positive and good for learning. Teachers are highly qualified and very helpful. They guide students by explaining career options and what they can do after completing their degree. The strength of a classroom would be around 30-40 students. The teaching methods used by faculty are as follows: presentations for teaching the class, books, pdf are also shared by faculty to help students. There are class tests, quizzes, midterms, presentations by students for better understanding and fun learning.

I don't have much idea about the companies but the faculty can guide by explaining what type of internship or work would be helpful for our career and placement purpose. Internship experience from outside campus would be helpful for our knowledge and would help in developing our skills.

Regarding placements, few companies visits the campus and choose students based on their performance and interview. But not many students are selected. Better performance and having cgpa more than 8 or 9 is a must for getting selected. Internships will also be helpful during the selection process.

There are two annual feasts abhivyanjana and shauryautsav which is a sports festival. The library consists of different sections according to the courses such as the biotechnology section, engineering section, etc. Books can be issued from the book bank as well. Books can be photocopied from the stationary shop in the complex. The campus also has a sports stadium for playing basketball, badminton and there are fields for cricket, football, tennis courts, basketball courts. A separate building is for cultural activities such as dance, music, etc. There are clubs such as dance club, photography club, skit club, etc so students can take part in any of them.

The hostel room consists of a single room for each student that has a balcony. The room has a cupboard, study table, two lights, bed (mattress must be bought by students), chair and a side table. The mess provides breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner. Students can also eat in the canteen inside the hostel area. The quality of mess food in girls hostel is fine but in boys hostel, it can be bad as well.
