Remarks

I have nothing bad to say about my college, I got lot of good memories, great experience, awesome friends it is one of the best college and I recommend it to everyone.

Entrance Preview

Pantnagar college conducts its own exam, the exam pattern consist of MCQ from the subjects you have have studied in 12th standard, for instance a aspiring student will have to answer questions from Biology, Maths, Physics, Chemistry and also there are questions from General Knowledge. I scored around 76%, My first choice was t take veterinary science but the cut off was high for that so I got my 2nd choice Horticulture i chose horticulture because I was fascinated by the plants and wanted to learn more about them.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Well Pantnagar focus on research is really high especially the kind of detailed curriculum that is offered by the university promotes research and innovation there are practical classes apart from theory also there are industrial attachment for a month apart from there students are given a particular area mostly a village and student have to study the micro economics of that area and come up with real life solutions to uplift that area.

Internships Opportunities

Yes , the internship is as per the course you are enrolled in, many industries are in partnership with the university as i was pursuing horticulture, I got internship in a industry who were dealing with cut flower business the internship program schedule is designed bu university itself and it gives a lot of practical experience as far as stipend is concerned we didn't get any because there is a MoU between industry and university and they provided accommodation food and a learning environment.

Placement Experience

5

Placement and Job opportunities are quite excellent, there is a dedicate placement cell and the placement happens in banks, agri-input industries mostly the placement is 100% but all the student didn't sit in the placement since some of them wanted to pursue higher studies.

College Events

4.5

Regarding fest there were many there use to be a tech fest organized by engg, college, there use to be kisan mela organized by agri college, and also there use to be several management level festival like seminars, quiz, talent programs the kind of participation was huge because it was very cool place to enjoy and hang out also the prizes was quite good cash and kind.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is quite affordable since it is a government funded university so every semester we have to pay around 15 thousand to 18 thousand since most of the courses are 4 yr, so total of 8 semester so a total of one lakh 20 thousand to one lakh fifty thousand was the total fee of a particular course.

Fees and Financial Aid

Loan as such was not offered because the fee structure was not that high, but for needy and financially challenged students there are vice chancellor program to condone the fee on the case to case basis also for SC/ST students there was a scholarship program around 9 thousand per month with a condition they have to maintain a minimum G.P.A of 6 .0 per semester. Also there was scholarship for topper in every semester.

Campus Life

4

Campus life was awesome you learn you have fun you get to meet new people, you get friends for life regarding gender ratio the Girls were more than the number of boys there was dorm parties and they were too much fum dorm parties was usually at nights and it included music food and drinks a lot of them cultural Society use to host a birthday party at the end of every month to celebrate birthday of every student falling on that particular month it was a lot of fun in that party there were lot of games and every birthday boy roommate has to talk about him for at-least 5 min and it was all dirty secrets coming out and there were birthday bumps. As regard to Student Diversity and gender we had students from all over India but mostly from Uttarakhand as university is situated there. as far as gender is concerned girls ratios were more and there was strict policy against any kind of harassment.

Hostel Facilities

5

There are plenty of hostel and separate hostel for boys and girls the rooms are in sharing basis in undergraduate level one room is shared by two. In a particular hostel there were common recreational area such as volley ball court, T>T room, Common Room with T.V. Mess/food was awesome we use to pay around 5 thousand rupees for the mess, food was good and in mess committee there use to be one student from the council of student to oversee the whole process.

Alumni/Alumna

There is a dedicated alumni website and every student get to interact with alumni as per the industry of their choice there use to be grand alumni meet every year it was a mega event with lot of cultural events, industry/knowledge sharing event. even the internship was offered to some students. The alumni discussion was really helpful and student use to gain real life experience through these discussion.

Admission

Admission process: every year around May-June notification is released from the university and it is readily available in all book stores as well as online, there are 2 phases for admission process, 1st phase is the multiple choice answer questions round, you have to score a minimum number of marks called cut off marks as decided by institute once you are through phase one you are called for counseling process. In counseling you need to indicate your preference for what course you want admission in e.g. veterinary science, horticulture science, agriculture science etc. if your marks are good enough i.e as per merit you are allocated the seat and you get enrolled in that course.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty is quite Qualified and faculty consist of Professors i.e. Ph.D holders in specialized area of academia the faculty structure is as follow Training Professionals (T.P), Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor. The basic courses are taught by Assistant professors and Associate professor and T.P assist them particularly in Practical classes and specialized courses are taught by professors.

Placement Experience:

The college has consistent placement record , reflecting strong academic, industrial training exposure. The placement cell also provide guidance for further and better opportunities, I guess there is no college which give direct placement for agriculture, yes we get to collaborate with many good training institutes and as far as i have seen majority of students go for Maters for the same course. In courses like AME, BHM, BCA & IT the college has significantlly good score, pharmacy department also has good no. of placements in MAX, Apollo, Cipla, Zydus lie companies.
