Beautiful college life

College management is good. They are following a correct agenda in all areas. Students are given right freedom to learn things and explore . Neat and well maintained infrastructure.

I got into this college by scoring 91% in high school. I chose this college because I was looking for top institutions in Tamilnadu. This college was rated as top 10 in TN state and it is one of the top 50 colleges in India.

The course structure is designed in a good manner. The basics of each area is explained in the second year and the advanced level is taught in forthcoming year . During 3rd and 4th year of the course we have a option for 2 subjects to choose in which we are interested. Final year is more focused in project work. The subjects studied in 2nd and third year will help a lot in making the project .

I am not sure about the internship in my college. I dint undergo any internship program . I hope internships are available.

Placement in kongu engineering college is quite good comparatively. During 2013 it was Cognizant , Wipro, TCS, Robert Bosch , Aetna and many core companies who participated. The Software companies recruited in bulk . May be more than 500 apprroximately. The placement training is good in KEC. They train you well with resume preparation and interview procedures .

In KEC we have lots of technical and non technical events going on through out the year. In technical fest lots of events take place like debugging , coding, presentations, photo shopping, graphic designing, advertisements and lot more .Many workshops are conducted periodically. Cultural events are best in KEC . We have open house exhibitions where any student can exhibit their project, project models , presentations etc. The best projects displayed in exhibitions are awarded .

Fees is feasible . We had Tution fee, Hostel fee, Book fee and exam fee. It was feasible. I really don't remember how much did i pay for the above mentioned ones. Student who enroll through Anna university counselling have the flat rate of government approved fees structure to be claimed from student

Not sure of scholarships because i dint avail it. I hope there might be scholarship for students who are good at academics.

Life in KEC is just awesome. It was more than i expected. Many of my friends in other colleges say they have a strict environment. But i never felt and I dont have any complaints about this college. All faculties maintain a friendly rapport with students. College is supportive in student placement and interests. They give importance o academics, cultural programs , sport activities, etc.

Hostel rooms are good. They are spacious and each student is given separate shelves to keep their stuffs. Hostel day events are conducted annually. It is lot more of fun. Limited attached bathrooms. But there are enough Common bathrooms. Food is good.

College seniors are well interactive . They help a lot in conducting mock interviews before the placements. They have a good rapport with the juniors.

The exam structure is quite good. We have three internal exam and one main exam (semester). Each subject is divide into three modules. Where each(three) module is three internal exam . And the whole three modules is semester exam. Everyday we have labs. Working in lab makes u understand things practically.

The admission process is through Tamilnadu Anna university counselling . I registered for counselling and I got a letter showing which date and time I need to take up counselling to choose the college. It is called upon the scores earned in high school. High scorers will start the counselling first and go on with the decreasing order. In counselling they show vacancies in colleges and the course available in each college . Based on the openings I can choose my course and college

The faculties are well experienced and have depth knowledge in the subject they teach. They explain student queries in detail. They even help students who are interested making real time projects. They maintain a friendly behavior with student. They have personal interest in student upliftment
