BPS Medical College

I applied for almost all colleges of Haryana but according to my neet marks and rank, I was allotted this college. As I was allotted the college during the mop up round so it was somewhat a problem some as the medical examination was to be done in the hospital on different floors rather than in the college building at the same place.

I chose MBBS because I wanted to become h psychiatrist. There is 1 teacher with 40 students. Each teacher is PG in their subjects. We are taught with the help of slides and the practical are performed by us in the lab after once told by the demonstrater. We don't have sem exams but the test is taken timely after the topic is completed.

After completing MBBS we are obliged to do 1 yr of internship either in the same college or in different. We are placed in various areas to provide medical services with the batch of 30 for 3 months. After completing our internship we have to clear the NEET PG exam for doing MD/MS.

After completing MBBS we are supposed to do 1 yr of internship and prepare for NEET PG if we want to have a PG degree. After completing my MBBS and internship I want to opt for PG in psychiatry. We also have reserve seats for pg students if they will persuade pg from the same college.

Our course fees are 80000/yr. The colleges have PG seats for physiology, anatomy, forensic medicine, pathology and community medicine. Scholarships are based on the merit of university exams and the students belong to economically weaker section can apply for fee concession.

Imagine is conducted every year in the college but not this time due to covid 19. Sports activities are organized every Saturday between junior and senior batches. For accessing the library we need the library cards. Student society called EKAM is formed in order to help students regarding any issue plus heads and vice heads are elected for all the fields like academic, sports, cultural, literature etc.

The hostel is overall in good condition but we are not provided with an attached washroom. When we first visited our hostel we were provided with one almirah, table, chair and one single bed. The rooms are not well ventilated having only a single window.
