Remarks

I have applied for VIT and SRM, but I got admission in SRM Ramapuram based on my 12th marks (2020 batch). The eligibility for admission is 55%. I have applied through the college website and they called me and mailed me that I am eligible for admission within a week.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose Cse as I'm interested in cybersecurity and srm even has many specialized courses as well. The faculty-student ratio would be 1:60, that's kind of acceptable. Some faculties are very good at teaching but some of them are not. The exam was conducted exactly 5 months after joining (1st sem) and was average, not too difficult.

Placement Experience

The internships offers will start from the 3rd year for CSE students. There are many companies visiting yearly but the average offers will be like 6-7 lakhs per annum. The highest package is 30 lakhs per annum in 2020. My plan is to get a dream offer with a decent package.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fee is like 2 lakhs per annum and 30k for books and placement training. The exam fee for each sem will be around 3k and there is a sports quota if you are a sportsperson you can apply for that. Regarding placements, I have heard from my seniors that there are some dream offers for around 10 lakhs to 30 lakhs. But for most of them, the average was like 6 lakhs per annum.

Campus Life

There are a lot of fests and cultural happenings in SRM like Aarush, Milan, falcon. The classroom was neat as I'm a student of 2020 everything's online for now. There is a sports ground in Ramapuram but too small. Also, there are many clubs in srm both technical and non-technical like DSC, logic play, sketch.

My Life inside VIT'V

Placement Experience:

B.tech students will be eligible after they complete their credits before the 3rd year and usually that is the period during which they will be eligible for placements. For integrated M.tech it might be after the 4th year in 5th year,they could get a year for internships which is good for students. This might be considered as my interest in this course.The placement is around 95 percent.My plans after getting the degree is to become a highly skilled person and to get a job in google. Many companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Qualcomm, etc place our campus.There are no such companies that visited and made no offers.

A review about KARE

Placement Experience:

In my college placement start from 7th semester, students get eligible to sit in drives. Many companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro and some core firms visited and gave good no of offers. Highest package was around 10 LPA and average near 4.5 LPA depending on profile, mostly software dev, testing and few core engineer role. Around 70% students got placed last year, rest go for higher studies or other prep. My plan after finishing degree is to first try campus offer then aim for higher studies if I not satisfied. Overall placement is decent but still more core companies should come.
