Remarks

I applied for other colleges like st Francis Andrew's and angels and I wasn't restricted to only pharma colleges as I was fine with the Engg department (CS) in the end I chose St John institute of pharmacy and research bcoz I had the marks and was qualified in the first round and I didn't want to extend the process so I froze my seat or SJIPR. I had a score of 91 at Cet PCMB so I was more than qualified and entered without availing and quota amd there was no age restriction as long as one had their HSC mark sheet and Cet scorecard 60%in HSC and a cut of 71 in Cet. Once I got SJIPR as my college in round one I was to freeze the seat online and go for document verification within a week or so and once I verified my documents I had to pay a sum of Rs 1000 and once it was done I was given a date to start college and after a couple of weeks, I had to pay my fees for the first yr of my course.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I chose this course cause I was good at bio and didn't want to let it go so sticking to it I chose this course. All facilities present at atleast postgraduate have masters degrees at the minimum whereas the senior faculties possess PhD and have been a parr of many major projects of giant pharma head companies with bringing company experience into teaching There is a specific student-teacher mentoring session held every Monday to help the students (1 faculty 5 students) to get I touch with an assigned facility to help them with any issues be it academic or extracurricular. Exams are like always once a month and so long as a student focuses on less he won't have to worry much abt passing he can easily score well with a little effort from his side.

Internships Opportunities

4

Ipca lab Ltd, Synthesis lab ass, I was given a job offer at the Ipca laboratories as an assistant in the synthesis department and was taken as a trainee for a month cause this company was closest to my residence.

Placement Experience

4

Currently, I a student so can't say anything about the placement factor without actually undergoing the placement process of my college our college gave a brief introduction on which companies they have a relationship with who could be potentially placement offers for our futures which were Ipca, Cipla, Johnson's and Johnson's etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is pretty standard which includes tuition fees college charges like Gymkhana lab charges overall bringing to a sum of 1.3 lac per year excluding the bus charges and locker charges. The over all increase in the fees annually is around 10-15k which can be seen or less than that at times. There is the scholarship available depending on ur situation like minority scholarship etc.

Campus Life

5

We have an annual fest which runs for a week and one more social event where all pharma colleges participate and compete with each other call Rx which showcases various talents and skills one can come up with and the best college will be awarded depending on the number of winners and participation from one's college all of this is mostly organised by the student council under the guidance of the facilities which gives students a real-life experience on how to handle events Our library consists of various books related to not only our field of the subject but also to learn more it also has 29 subscriptions of monthly pharma magazines research papers and review articles. Each classroom has benches to hold upto 60 students amd a projector along with a chalkboard and a podium for the faculty. We have sports events in the month of Jan which runs for a week including all sports we have a huge campus consisting of a football ground 2 basketball court volleyball ground and equipment for it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did this course as a backup plan when failure in neet. Faculties are good at teaching but some new teachers are like nursery teachers. Students are about 1k overall in college. Faculties are sufficient here. But not polite teachers. PhD faculties are also there but they have no good teaching techniques. Exams are semester-wise after 5-6 months. Exams are not a cup of tea for everyone. You have to study hard in this course.
