Remarks
I have applied to RDWU. I get selected for that. But later I get selected to BJB college through spot selection. I choose to attend BJB college. Because BJB college is the best government college in Odisha. The admission criteria for bachelors is provided based on the score of 12th board score and the merit list. I have not availed of any quota for admission. But there are few reserved seats for the students with disabilities and low caste.
Course Curriculum Overview
The Zoology department has a well-maintained course curriculum. The faculties to student ratio were 1:4. The professors are highly qualified. Though some of them are not very attentive. Most of them are very supportive and helpful. The examination conduction, result system, security during exams is very good. The system follows UGC rules.
Fees and Financial Aid
As it is a government college the fee structure is very low. INR -Rs 3000 Scholarships and loan systems are available for all the meritorious students in need. Students with disabilities and low caste get extra beneficial scholarships. All the meritorious students can apply for E-Medhabruti (a government scholarship) that gives Rs 5000 every year for 3years of B.Sc. There are other formal facilities related to loans students can apply for.
Campus Life
The college campus is nice, energetic, spacious, and beautiful. There are separate playgrounds for different sports.'BJB field' is very big and used for neighborhood matches too. Different departments have their own block. All the departments namely Science, Arts, Commerce have their own library. The political situation is not so well managed here. The election time was a bit corrupting and disturbing for the college. The college hosts an annual function every year. Other programs like seminars, exhibitions, conferences happen throughout. The college students also celebrate different cultural festivals like Ganesha Puja, Saraswati puja, etc. There are clubs for extracurricular activities .students can join these clubs by showing their talent and interest.
