NIT Patna- The Heart of Bihar Technical institute

The whole admission process was online due to the pandemic but generally, the process is offline. I have applied for this college because it is one of the oldest and prestigious colleges and it is also my state only. The admission is purely based on percentile system and rank obtained in jee mains. The admission process was very easy.

I am currently pursuing civil engineering course as I want to prepare for the civil services exam and this branch is preferred by most of the aspirants. Faculty members are very nice and supportive. The way of teaching is very nice and easy to understand. Most of the faculty members are highly qualified. They have Ph.D. degrees. There are two exams in each semester- The mid-semester exam and the end semester exam. Exams are easy to pass if you concentrate in class.

Fees in this college are normal as compared to private colleges. Candidates whose parents' income is less than 5 lac will have to pay only 2/3 of the total money. And the candidate whose family income is less than 1 lac will have to pay only 1/3 of the total money. There are some scholarships such as NSP.

There are many cultural fest and events. Many big celebrities come to the fests. The college has a very good library. The classrooms are well equipped. There are many sports activities also and separate cricket, football ground, badminton court, basketball court, etc. There are many clubs also such as Robotics club, music club, dramatic club, hackslash club, and many more.

The college has a very good hostel facility. The fees of the hostel are very economical. The hostel is very clean and the location is near to the River Ganga. There is a separate hostel for boys and girls. It also includes mess facilities. The quality of food is good. And the menu is different for all days.
